Tony Coleman had a spell inside before we signed him as well.
Ahh yeah thats right, i remember disagreeing with the sentence being that short!! Just googled a bit more about him, saqw a newpaper article that his family's parents weren't happy with the sentence either (understandable), will be interesting to hear their comments (which they will no doubt, publicly have) when he does get back into pro football. I'm sure he's not as big a tosspot as Lee Hughes though (who has shown no remorse whatsoever) and won't dance like a retarded orangutan when his team scores a goal!
The stupid dance, and the goading of opposition supporters when they are chanting about him, show to me that he really doesn't give a toss. Unlike McCormick, Hughes fled the scene after his crash, waited for the drink to leave his system before handing himself in (only because he'd have been caught anyway). The only thing Lee hughes seems sorry for is the fact he got caught. If Lee Hughes actually showed a bit of maturity on the football pitch, i'd maybe be able to believe that he's genuinly remorseful. He clearly can't do that though.
If you remember our first season in the championship, David Norris of Ipswich had made a gesture of support to McCormick (whom he'd played with at Plymouth) by crossing his wrists like a set of handcuffs when he scored. The following week we played Ipswich at home and Norris was roundly booed everytime he got the ball. We won 1 nil by virtue of a Shelton Martis goal( on loan to us at the time). If I remember rightly the match was live on Sky 5.20 on a Saturday in November.
They do say things run in the family.Lee Hughes is a c**t end of! I'm in the majoirty with my opinion of him. You'd think he'd keep his head down, get on with his job and not attract attention to himself. Goading fans, berating them and dancing around like that mentally insane bloke in the Walsall end, isn't exactly what you'd expect from someone so gutted that they ENDED someone's life.
In your opinion.
Think you'll find it wasn't me that went off topic on this thread... So i clearly DO have the ability to stay on topic. Are you always wrong, or was this a one off?
