As long as we don't start handing out those paper fans making that awful racket at Bolton last night.

This is a football game, i'm not bothered what they do at "soccer matches".

It’s definitely a solution.

Those fans at Bolton looked absolutely cringe. On subject of atmosphere did we get any volunteers for handing out flags, flags on poles etc as was mentioned in a previous thread?

they seem to be predominantly a Welsh thing - which is reason enough not to like them for any reasonably adjusted human being; unless they're endorsed by Daral Pugh, Gareth Roberts, Neville Southall and Brian Stock of course....

Ha ha. Don't worry I won't. They've gone crazy with them in cricket. Everytime I see them all I can picture are the
Flower Pot Men! You might need to be a certain age to understand that

If you want to buy something with a Rovers badge on it, then buy it from the club shop so the club benefits from it instead of some dodgy scouser.

Rovers should exploit their connection with Tam O Shanter hats, which the team used to wear as part of their kit in the early days of the club.

Some might say you were one of the first to buy one when they came out originally BB.?

Not quite, although I've got a couple of second hand original ones that Scawsby Steve and Wolfie gave me.

absolutely this - think I'm right in saying that us and Lincoln City are the only two clubs - ever - to have headgear listed as part of their official first team kit; Ade Sill always used to say that there was one of them in the town museum, but I never got to see it...

just be aware - the notion that vikings had horns on their hats is complete fabrication; winged embellishments (as per the badge) yes - that's a definite, but horns never; please be mindful of historical accuracy when choosing celebratory head apparel...

Yes, Herman. I was about to post that too.

Although the football the Rovers have been producing of late gives me the horn.

Isn’t that where the tradition of awarding caps for representing your country came from?

I think you're right SM.

I wonder if the powers that be would be interested in selling Tam O Shanters in the club shop?

Seeing as it's my idea I'll donate my commission back into the club.
