Tom Biltcliffe

Driving home after game, radio Sheffield played Tom biltcliffe’s commentary of the 4th goal. He was ecstatic, was like the 1966 commentary. Would love to hear it again.

Just heard Tom’s commentary for all 4 goals on Football Heaven. I recommend that you listen to this - I don’t think I’ve ever heard a commentator go quite as berserk as he did when the third goal went in. It obviously meant as much to him as it did to us. It brought tears to my eyes - again.

I’m sure someone can post the link- however, you can listen again on web / catchup - bbc radio sheffield / football heaven…..
it will probably be available from 7-7.30pm this evening i.e. after the show is complete.
Almost as good as his Rovers v Crewe ifollow commentary some years ago

Robbie Andrews and Alex (?) went absolutely nuts on the IFollow commentary on the 3rd and 4th….Total gold from them both.

The other reason for the excitement is that Tom had put a fiver on the rovers to win at half time @11/1

Robbie’s commentary is on the DRFC inside rovers match day on YouTube. Well worth a watch and listen, it’s very good, but I’ve always rated Robbie’s commentary.

Calm but foggy looking out from Bridlington jack, but it’s a big North Sea!

Hope we have more videos coming your way after tomorrow.

Keep safe.
