Sat in Meadowhall
« on April 23, 2024, 04:34:03 pm by EpsTheMightyReds »
The titles self explanatory and I’m not proud, but we all have to do things.
I’ve read every post and every comment and am now pretty fed up.
There’s a good chance that this will drag on for a good few hours yet, in fact I’m putting money on her indoors wanting to leave about 7:45.
My plan (and I stress my plan) was to be at home settled with a couple of cans of Guiness and ifollow all set up. Needless to say it wasn’t the bosses plan
So all I ask is that someone starts talking about tonight’s game. It’s almost as if we didn’t have a game tonight and there’s only so much you can read about being too hot, too cold or too wet at previous games
Look forward to you all helping me pass the next few hours. PS she’s just gone into Primark so I won’t be moving for at least 2 hours

Not quite the same Jud but it’s looking like that’s going to be happening

I feel your pain.

I’m in a similar situation. Bought tickets months ago to see New Model Army here in Cambridge tonight. Colchester is just  down the road for me, nice and easy.

At least I’m getting something out of it but I’ll have one eye on the phone all night.

I had no idea.

Has always reminded me of an olde world minstrel going from town to town singing for his supper. He’s never still for long. Wish I had his stamina.

He looked brilliant even then. Saw em Sheff Dingwalls and thought you're the fella busking couple of years ago. Gave us a lift up to Rotherham roundabout after gig. Great chap. He was with Jools...not talking Holland.

Sorry drifting off topic but its filling time before KO.

I once had a similar situation, the wife dragging her heels when she knew I needed to get home in time to get to the KM.
She was in a shop so I sent her a text.
It said, “can I get home in a taxi then you come home in the car when you are ready”.
She texted back, “No you can’t”
The laugh was on her though because she spelled “can’t” wrong.

Hah! One day I’ll get to Hebden Bridge and get some made. It’s never too late, though I’m past building human pyramids and Mrs Bollinger definitely won’t be sitting on my shoulders doing the NMA arm twisting dance thing.
