Just Back from the owls sh**hole

How good were we after that first 20 minutes?  We didn't start that well and Wednesday had a bit of possession roughing us up.  We hoofed it a little too much and weren't composed.

What about those saves from Sulli?  The save from the 1 on 1 with Tudgay was pure class.

After that we were simply class.  Pass and move at its best and what a goal from Elliot Ward who looked like he's playing in that team for years.  Overhead kick on debut in a derby, dream stuff.  It had been coming as we'd taken control.

Second half the defence were superb for the first 15 under some pressure but then we took charge again.  What a win it was, own goal?  I think so but Billy loved it.

We were very good and some brilliant performances from the likes of Stock (who had the freedom of the city in midfield), Oster who was the driving force in there and the whole back 4 who dealt with everything.  We weren't carved open once, just a few scruffy bits of play in the first half.

Well done lads you were superb tonight and the fans were very good too.

Great to hear we played so well!  Of course, there will be a million reasons from the Wendies why we won, no diybt none of them anything to do with being the better team!

If you check their threads, they are giving us plenty of praise.

Just one example.

\"Donny though...they were brilliant. Makes me jealous.\"

Just read the match thread on Owlstalk and it's clear some of them do see past their blue tinted spectacles - respect for those who know they've been done by the better side!

Great performance tonight, everyone played well and we were on top form. If we take this into the weekend we'll destroy QPR, they've got no confidence and are hurtling towards the relegation zone. Can you imagine...beat QPR, then beat Leicester to go within a point of the play-offs and a game in hand!

 :P

Sully was man of the match for those saves for me, Ward stood out as well, great debut. Sharp worked his socks off as usual and the midfield took over the game-Stock and Oster ran the show, Copps played well again, he's in a great run of form. Wilson improved on his last couple of games and Hayter worked tirelessly too. Hird, Chambers and O'Connor along with Ward were really solid at the back for the most part and controlled the Wednesday attack well.

I think I've mentioned everyone there :P

One excuse already is that our first goal should have been disallowed as Sharp handled it in the build up??!!

Were people not throwing that accusation at us a little over a week ago??

Beware a wounded animal.
