.... but the good feeling around the club, where by the whole fan base, playing squad management team and board are all in unison and we haven't seen this since the double promotion days of Dave Penney.
The performances in the last week have been brilliant and yesterday's result at the former premier league champions was an away day to remember for a long time. A thrilling afternoons entertainment!
I don't even think the golden era under Sean O'driscoll had the full backing of the fan base due to folk not getting over Penney's departure and what seem to be a love hate relationship towards Sean.
Darren, Keep up the good work, you're building a good squad with exciting young and hungry players that entertains and gets results.
Finally, yes we did get relegated in 2015-16 but sometimes it's best to press the reset button and start again and that seems to be the case with us right now!

I totally agree. I can't ever remember looking forward to games like I do at the minute.
Amazingly Fergie still gets slagged off on social media, honestly don't know what people want. Fair enough he took us down but there is a bigger picture.
-
Fergie still has his detractors, they're extremely muted at the moment because he is getting most things right. If he does make a mistake and it costs us, they'll be out in force again, don't worry.
The vast majority are all for him and the team.
-
It's early days but three games in we look comfortable and are playing some very good football. Hopefully the roller coaster will keep on going up and bring back the fans that have stopped coming in the last few seasons.
The feel good factor does seem to be back, let's hope it stays and we might even have a decent cup run.
-
Think we are beginning to see the results of his plan to take us further forward with a really good young squad of players with a few old heads aswell.
-
Let's be fair, we shouldn't have gone down 2 yrs ago, but it was an agein dickov squad. This team, would walk all over that team. A good clear out was needed, and if relegation was needed to accomplish that, then so be it. A good win on saturday against blackpool and I think folk are gonna start to notice us.
-
We never do well against Blackpool.

Even some of our more shall we say less positive posters have put some happy posts on here

And some have locked themselves into a padded room, itching for our first defeat so they can unleash their fury 😀

Lol seems really quiet on here today, where are you all???!

I always get behind our players and staff, we are all Rovers aren't we.
However I am firmly in the camp that argues that Fergie took us down when he could have avoided it had he changed the playing style earlier than he eventually did.
This crap about it being Dickovs team doesn't hold water for me.
However, DF has redeemed himself despite his apparent failure to halt a slump and I am also in the camp of bring on the next game.
We are in exciting times and this current squad is the best we have had for some years.

It's gone, it's history. Forget it now!

It is a comment based on this thread and mentioned earlier as well.
If you read the rest of my post you will see that I am over it.

I agree with you Johnny, and one of the best things is that there is more local young people from the Doncaster area coming to the games.
We have had a core of supporters who have gone through a lot with this club, people whose names I dont know but have seen at the games over the years, and whose loyalty has been beyond the call of duty.
But now there seems to be a new surge of younger supporters, and their enthusiasm is rubbing off on the crowds at the games, its great to see and long may it last.
I hope they get as much enjoyment and memories as I have had,and the club can keep it affordable.

I agree with your first post. The relegation was a disaster at the time and a completely avoidable situation for which DF rightly took some stick (as did the team).
However, since then it's hard to argue with what he has done and what the club is doing. I actually think the relegation was a kick up the arse for Fergie as well as the club. I don't think our recruitment would have been anywhere near as good last year and this if we'd not gone down and had a bit of a shock to the system. We'd probably just have gone on to be mid table league one fodder.
Agree with the first post overall. Yesterday was such a good day to be a Rovers fan. Fantastic performance from a fantastic team.

 shh, few minutes I'll be reeling em in. ;)

I realise it's early days but what a brilliant start to the campaign!!! Beating both Bradford and Blackburn at their grounds isn't an easy task. Well done to the boys and Mr Ferguson for a cracking display! Happy days 😀👍
-
Beware, the bogey team cometh! I dare say this Saturday's game will be much harder than both Bradford and Blackburn away.
-
It's time we exorcised this particular ghost.
They have haunted us for too long.
As you say I think that we will have our hardest game yet but City fans that I know say that we were far better than Blackpool.
-
The most important and potentially hardest game is always the next one.!
-
Just one game at a time 2 pts a game target will leave us in a good place by season end long way to go yet
-
At least we are not playing them at home over (Easter?) bank holiday
-
We shouldn't exclude the CEO and his staff in this positive ground swell either .
