My sister in law's there at the moment. Just had an e-mail to say that she's OK.

Having experienced that tiny 5.2 quake 3 years ago, I cannot begin to imagine what a big one must be like.

ch-ch  here all family are safe we have power no water lots of broken stuff house held up wellwe have had a very shaky night about 30 aftershocks

75 now dead but there will be many more they are pulling people out of the rubble alive which is great news hopfully more to come

latest some have power no water tankers are bringing in water no showers or toilet facilities the roads are trashed bumps holes cracks there are still 300 people missing in the city

its 8 15 thursday am weve had either 16 or 17 since midnight big problem now is that the grand chancellor hotel in city center 26 floors is about to fall down

Chuffing eck! you`d have thought they would have settled down a bit by now, I shite my pants when we had that one a couple of years ago, and that was only one tremor!

7 more tremors last night but the good news is the water came back on last night
