More expensive insurance rates for women may appeal to some men at the minute BUT, this European Court ruling has a massive sting in the tail for men.
As a result of the ruling, men will get roughly 8% less pension if they decide to buy an annuity at retirement. In the words of one adviser..
The ECJ decision is a \"seismic event which will fundamentally reshape the retirement landscape\".
So, for those of you that welcome the fact that women will pay more in insurance premiums, in reality men in the long term will be far worse off come retirement.
And before anyone says they don't have any sort of private pension pot, every pension scheme, whether final salary, public, or private will give lower returns for men as a result of this ruling.

Even if there are fewer incidents involving females - the reasoning attached to lower premiums .....

I'll best keep quiet on this one .......:chair: :coat:
