Rovers v Posh
« on February 25, 2012, 11:45:38 am by CusworthRovers »
Very very fortunate to win this game down there. I think even the most biased fans would consider a 5-2 losing scoreline as just, at their place.

For me, if we allow Boydy the freedom he got last time, he, and their diamond system may give us serious trouble again. However, I understand they have recently tried to drop this system or toying with others.

I personally struggle to predict Rovers these days, as we have no set method or style that is similar to the eye each week. Before I would never back anybody against us, as I was confident that if we got ourselves right it would be either a good performance or a good chance of winning or both.
Regardless of what anybody says on here, IMO we are still lost as a team. If we scrape some wins out then great, and the odd performance then great, but on the whole there is still no unit or method to what we do.

My support is still there and I desperatley want us to win today.

Rovers 2-0 Posh.................Stock, EHD

5-2? I think 8-2 would have been a fair scoreline. It is one of our most baffling victories and it is also one of our most impressive. We very rarely get a result like that and the atmosphere in the stand that day was immense. A beautiful and rare searing October day in the sun, was my favourite day of the season so far.

You would like to think that today we will come out and play with passion, determination and a never-say-die attitude. I hope we do because we are more than capable of bagging three points today.

Anybody on that bloody Doncaster bus that kept breaking down every few minutes would've felt hard done by with anything less than a win that day  lovely coach coming home mind :P

I reckon 1-0 or 2-1 Rovers.

Have to agree boys. One of my best or memorable Rovers days. As said, that never happens to us. It's generally (or we were very much used too), us having all the play and then losing.

That made it very very sweet in a manner not seen since a certain Richard Turpin was holding up carriage's on the highway

Peterborough are rubbish, should be beating these at home. Having said that i think we'll lose in a goal bananza.

Rovers 3
Diouf 23'
Stock 60'
Robert 90+1'

Posh 5
Boyd 28' 42'
Tomlin 56'
Ball 68'
Barnett 90+3

No Chambers, Brown, Bouhenna, Keegan, Woods..... etc. can only have 11 players and 5 subs!

We were under the cosh for a long time there, unlucky in the end not to make it. Still, the point keeps us in it, win the game in hand and we're laughing like the pub team we are :boxing:

5 points thrown away from the last 2 games.  We don't deserve Championship football.  I'm off to watch the rugby.

That was a MUST win game & we didn't. Trying hard to keep the faith, but if we cant beat Peterbro at home then there's not much point of having games in hand.

The player that headed it in has been bought with the money they got from selling the man who crossed it to him. Today was his last game after being loaned back to them for a month when Norwich bought him on the last day of the window.

Of course none of this is why w chucked it away yet again. We shot ourselves royally in the foot yet again.
