Glad to see Tommy in midfield. Defence still looks very unbalanced.

There we have it on with only one player on the bench who is close to league one standard in Bostock. A young centre midfield since Whiteman left. A short term contract Left back because we’ve got to play Rowe further forward. Young probably cheap centre forward because Okenbirhie still injured and he’s been injured since the end of last season and we haven’t got him right. Yet we are expecting this side to get a result tonight.
Where has the level of players gone that we had under DF and the playoff side under McCann.

By the way it’s not got nothing to do with the playing budget.

Rowe could play there, but I think he has done right by putting Rowe in the engine room, hopefully he can drive us forward, to a win.

A lot left because they were loan players, and others were told by the fans and management they were not good enough for League 1 (Blair, May, etc)

You look at the side and wonder who's going to win the ball in what's bound to be a scrap, that's the fundamental problem.  I actually feel the attack has some promise (in terms of staying up). We will see how it goes, nervy and tough one ahead.

I was reading earlier a report where Wellens was bemoaning the fact that he hasn’t been able to field a settled side … then the next team he picks excludes Bostock who he played in the previous game. Ok, if Bostock is nursing a niggling injury, fair enough. If not, Wellens is contradicting himself.

Richie said Bostock wolf be lucky to play but looking at the bench he’s been put there just in case. Otherwise he would have played but he’s not good enough anyway

the only way to get out of this league UPWARDS FOR ROVERS  is with loan player A couple of years ago leicester had good under 23's  eg the ADMIRAL ETC ...   aston villa under 23's have won all 3 matches so they must be good there must b one or two suitable for ROVER S... AND WE HAVE HAD A RELATIONSNSHIP WITH VILLA OVER THE YEARS

Are we going to question the squad depth and ability ahead of EVERY fixture until key players return or we see some incomings in January.?

We all KNOW there are shortfalls at present, it doesn’t need pointing out on every match day thread.!

However we have struggled this season, Crewe are worse.  A win tonight, any old how, is what we need..

Cameron Archer for me but we are probably not good enough for him or for Villa to let him come here

5th highest at interceptions for a midfielder in League One and the highest completed forward passer in the league isn't good enough. Some of our fans don't understand football.
