A better second half, 2 shots on target so far.

83' Molyneux cuts inside and shoots from 25 yards but his effort is always rising over the bar.

I think there are two very different but equally frustrating ways of looking at this game:

We've been marginally second best
and are likely to lose against a bottom third league two team having started the season aiming for promotion.

OR

We've competed well and arguably deserve a point away against one of the form teams in league two with an extremely weakened side.

Imagine if we'd gone for it this season, because my god, this is an appalling league.

Full time 1-0. It sounded a better game to listen to but it’s yet another defeat.

On to Monday

Onwards and upwards

A slightly better performance but two sides reflecting their league positions. Both lacking in creativity, lots of scrappy play and very little quality from either side. A reflection on the poor standard in league 2 this season.

10 shots and scrapped. That is an improvement particularly with the players available.

Exactly. So it shouldn't take too much to turn the squad into contenders.

I've yet to see any team be head and shoulders above any other and we, more often than not, have shot ourselves in the foot.

The Free Press reporting sounded quite positive  about today's performance.

Not sure some commenting are watching this game? We have had more threat than them so far.

We’ve had 4 shots to their 7, you must be watching a different game
Final tally
Gills 13 shots - 4 on target
Rovers 10 shots - 3 on target
Reflects what I watched, a very even game. We deserved a point from today. Much improved from a very low starting point.

How did Barlow get a yellow? I've yet to see him make a challenge.

A weaker team with several first choice players out yet folk expect better results from DS?

With the line ups we're able to put out it's looking for the positives particularly from the young players. Any positive performances and results are a bonus under difficult circumstances.

Regardless of that we need to see some structure and pattern to our play instead of kick and rush up to our isolated striker

Every game we play too deep.

It never changes how do you think it will change when months later it hasn't.

A very young lad upfront on his own with nobody insight. That's what's happened from day one and still happens now.

Of course the players could be better, but if we play the same it still means ol1 upfront with 5 players round him and our players 20 yards behind, no matter how good you are, your still not doing anything from there.

Nothing is changing.

Dissent, ravenhill went down in our box and ref played on . Seemed correct if not a foul  as was a back injury

I said after the recent Crawley defeat that I doubted that we could win another game this season.
Nothing has changed my mind.

I agree, especially while DS stays at the helm, I’ve seen teams on Stainy Welfare better organised
