Just in case you wondered what a crowd looks like at Elland Road these days, this was last Saturday.

Mark,

This was an e-mail from a colleague;

All

In protest at the £28 ticket price at today's FA Cup Third Round tie
home to Birmingham City most of the crowd turned up in fancy dress
disguised as empty seats. See the attached picture.

The new owners said at the time of the takeover that Warnock was one of the reasons they wanted to buy...I wonder how long he's got? :D

I think the bubble is about to burst. Football is losing its popularity, and it is going out of fashion.

There could be a few casualties, including the 'big' clubs.

My grandad (God rest his soul) always used to say Leeds was a rugby town. Not sure what he'd have made of his beloved Leeds RLFC becoming "Leeds Rhinos" though!

Football is dying on its backside at the moment because of ticket pricing. The current champions of England have returned nearly 1,000 tickets to Arsenal because they were charging £62 a ticket.

Whilst the original poster is obviously taking the opportunity to have a dig at Leeds we are getting around 6,000 fans at home and we are in the automatic promotion places. You will always have the loyal fans but it seems very hard to get the casual fans through the doors anymore.

I do agree but it isn't just down to pricing. There's so much more to compete with these days thanks to new tech - even live football - that makes it harder than ever before to get people down to games.

No- you probably didn't know him. As far as I know he never ventured as far as BV. John Edward Miller was his name.
