Not quite sure it is actually up for grabs this weekend 

Everyone is talking about 1946-7 11 games away from home undefeated. Well these were the first 11 away games of the season. The preceding league season was 1938-9, with only wartime competition in between. We were undefeated in the final 6 away games of 1938-9, so by my calculations that is 17 consecutive league away matches undefeated across a 7 year time period!

By the way we also went 11 away games undefeated in both 1968-9 and 2007-8

Edit: There were actually 4 players involved in some of those matches in both seasons: Bycroft, Kirkaldie, MacFarlane and Owens
