Jimmy Bullard Free Agent

Jimmy Bullard just been released from Ipswich. I would take him purely for his experience, he is 32/33 now but still has fire in his boots!!

good player on his day, or was!

Not sure what wages he would command though think he would be out of our league.

He won't go any lower than the Championship, may even get a short term deal in the Prem.

It was well documented that Bullard was on £60k a week at Hull (one of the reason's they almost went bust) Don't know how much he's getting at Ipswich, but I doubt he would come here for what we could pay him. Maybe £2k a week?

far too expensive and probably a liability on the pitch

How about Joey Barton?  :suicide:

I think we need to send a scout abroad. Look at leeds with Rudolf Austin, Norwegian player of the year last year and he ripped it up. great signing great player, most players are overpriced here, spread our wings and go for the cheaper better talent with a player that plays in our style. New to this country and these leagues they will want to impress alot more than signing someone old and fat from championship. Just my opinion

Not a chance we would sign Jimmy Bullard. Wages to high, he wouldn't want to drop to League 1, not good for his ego.

Wouldn't want him either, Ipswich suspended him last year for going on a 4 day drinking binge round Newcastle. Wrong attitude. Hassle not worth the rare good moments.

Hull and Ipswich both got rid because of his ridiculous wages, he was on more than Stock, Friend and O'Conner combined so when we've just got rid of all them I don't know what makes people think we'll start making signings like this. Look at the players we've had on trial to understand the level of players we're looking at.

Didn't we have somebody looking abroad last season and look how well that went.

His private health plan demands should be enough to disuade anyone from taking him on....crock of the highest order

He's always struck me as a very enthusiastic player on the pitch, but that was a fair few years ago, have the injuries he's had caught up with him?,has he still got the same enthusiasm he used to have?,with the money he's earnt in his career if he didn't have enthusiasm surely he could have retired by now,he's not too old it's whether he would be up for running our midfield, which he would if he's still got it,worth having a look at,but i wouldn't offer him a long contract, maybe a season then see how it goes,he might be up for a pay as you play deal who knows?

I told my Hull supporting mate about this thread and he is probably still leaving a trail of urine wherever he walks.

If the club are even thinking about this I have a bargepole they can borrow that I wouldnt touch him with.

Hull fans were left with a bad taste with him though Rob,because they paid him massive wages and he got injured in his first game for them.then they got relegated,so though i respect there views, they may be a bit unfair, who knows they've seen more of him than me,i just think there would be no harm taking a look

£5m fee too. Not bad value for money for 20-odd games!

True not good value for that kind of money, but we would get him for nothing if Dean was interested in him

Think we've been burned too many times with signing crocks over the past few years, haven't we?
