Thought Butler had conceeded a pen late doors I'd have been fuming if it was at the other end

it was no more than a shoulder to shoulder and we all know that is allowed

I too thought it was a fair shoulder to shoulder charge, just happened that Butt's was the stronger of the two. No arms raised, no intentional trip. It made my heart jump though, as the only thing that I immediately thought was that this prat of a ref was going to give a penalty. He either got the decision right, or he didn't see it.

That was a nailed on penalty. You can only hit someone like that with your shoulder if you are challenging for the ball. We got away with one. It happens.

Who cares if it was a pen, even if the ref had given it, Balcombe would have saved it.

Was a penalty, but given the Oxford players made a habit of flinging themselves onto the floor every time they were breathed on near our box I find it hard to have any sympathy for them.

I thought it was a penalty and remember my heart sinking as it happened!   What was the score at that point ?

It wasn’t a pen because the ref never gave it! Doesn’t say much though, as he was absolutely garbage all game.
