I’m just glad we’ve stopped the slide and hope we can win a few more games and put in decent fighting performances. Anything else is a bonus.

We are playing for pride now, any notions of play offs should be abolished now...maybe we can trip the Posh up ....who knows...

We are playing for 3 points each match and see where it takes us. Pompey are stuttering, Charlton Oxford and Ipswich are not pulling up any trees. We need to keep going. It ain’t over just yet.

Let us just pack in then shall we. Do you think that is what Butts will be saying to the players.

The last 10 games are irrelevant now. They have gone. There are 6 games still to play 18 points up for grabs.
No one is saying we will make the play offs just because we have won today are they, but while it is mathematically possible you keep going.
1 game at a time. Let us see where it takes us. If we win the next 2 and other teams falter you never know do you.
The last 4 would be very interesting indeed and Posh will not relish playing us if we have won 3 on the bounce.

Stopping the rot and getting the clean sheet is a happy weekend. Nothing more. Talk of the play offs now is a pipe dream. Its the hope that kills you as  supporters like it has done. If we go into the last game and we are there or there abouts then sound. Accrington away is always nailed on 3pts isnt it.....

Playoffs is ambitious now what is to play for is Butler's place as manager if we can build on this result he could potentially put a good case forward for the job. If we do follow this up with more results then he's actually turned some bad form around which other managers struggled with. Obviously the following it up is the important part in all this

Would be great to see copps in the playoffs to get the send off he deserves. I agree though one win is just nice enough to stop the loosing run.

Hope for everything, expect nothing is my drfc mantra at the min

If we make the playoffs Michael Shaw will probably cry and if we won the playoffs he would probably p---off,
what a sad torched soul you are.

I think if Butler is to have hopes of holding on now, then really they have to make or nearly make the play offs. This result is a start.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. This is just a good 90+ mins, they've not only overcome Shrewsbury but their own doubts.

Let's see what the next 90 mins brings. Take it one game at a time.

If - and it is a big if- we get into the playoffs I would actually back us to win them as we would definitely be the in form team to have sneaked in them in the last 6 games.

While it was much better today, not just the win but the effort they put in the fixtures we have left are as hard as they get, it might happen but for me would take pretty much a miracle to get in the play offs now

The reason that it is ‘all to play for’ is that Portsmouth, Oxford, Charlton, Gillingham, Ipswich and Rovers are all as poor and inconsistent as each other.  Lincoln have shown that even if you are playing terribly, if you can suddenly win 3 games in a row at this stage of the season, you are nailed on for a play off place....... so it’s up to Rovers now, there is one place to play for and it’s up for grabs!

2-2 now. A draw would be good for rovers

Goal diff could be huge at the end of season if rovers put themselves in contention. The old cliche of good goal diff being worth an extra point. Looking at charlton and Ipswich gd currently, rovers could do with bagging a few goals in the coming games and conceding few.

Not saying that it’s not possible but those teams have been nothing like as poor and inconsistent as we are. We’ve been the worst side, form-wise, in the country. Hopefully we’ve turned a corner now but still a huge ask for us to be troubling the top 6 again.

Listening to Butler he seemed almost speechless that playing was the answer to his dilemma . I’ve for one sling with a few others said it was a mistake to drop himself from the playing side .

Or proved how vital he is to our defence as a player

We need to win 5 of our last 6 to have any chance. It’s not going to take place folks. Calm down

Cos that sequence of results has never been done by any team ever.

Expect nothing then if it happens we'll be even happier and not too disheartened if it doesn't.

From here on in play offs would be a brilliant end result with the run we have just gone through and the type of game we have to play
