Looking the best it's been for a long time, another win at the weekend 3-1 against Hull in the Northern cup final.

Seems to be some decent players in the squad, be interesting to see if any of them can step up as we need that soon.

Can see us trying to integrate some of the youth teamers in next season

seeing as we need to cut the wage bill

And it would be nice to see a few local lads in the team

Just look at Watford, 50 players from their have played in their first team in last 6 years

can certainly get us somewhere providing alot of effort is put in

Fully agree with how important the youth team could be for next season.

Hopefully with the addition of a reserve team next season we'll start to see a few of them coming through. It could be key to make the most of these guys next season to keep the wage bill down and potential lack of funds for transfers.

Saunders seemed really keen on the youth setup when he joined us(link). If he's planning for next year I hope he's identifying the players who could make the step up, thinking of which senior players to keep and then cutting some loose to gather a bit of £££ for a new players.

There have been some notable wins of late for the youth team against some clubs with a celebrated academy setup. This only bodes well for the future and for the current situation we find ourselves in. It has been way too long since we had a few guys coming through into the first team. Once upon a time the Doncaster Junior Sunday league was one of the biggest and most expansive around, I assume it still is. What this means is that we have a massive catchment area and huge scope for the future if we have the right systems in place. This is something which the club needs to build on and use to its advantage, especially as it's on the 'doorstep'.
