Today's performance
« on April 13, 2024, 05:39:35 pm by Copps is Magic »
Let's now pass this over too quickly lads.

Some individual brilliance with absolutely irresistible teamplay today. Some of the balls going through to the front 3 were unbelievable.

We're actually getting better.

If we don't go up this season, we will be serious contenders for automatic promotion next season. This kind of momentum is important.

The one touch play, speed of thought and movement is different class. Today was a complete performance. Could have had 3 or 4 more goals.

Haven’t stopped smiling yet.

If, and I predict we will get to the playoffs, no one will want to play us.

Thought Westbrooke operated that roll superbly. The whole team are in fantastic form and even the subs looked hungry to add to the scoreline. Today deserved a full stadium.

It’s ticking up a bit. Home crowd was around 6,800 today. That’s getting on for 1000 extra home supporters compared to most of season.

I am absolutely buzzing.

I can’t say any more as I am exhausted just watching this team play.
Kicking every ball from my seat. It’s exhilarating .

For every result to go 100% our way is unreal.

Is this really going to happen, it is now looking as though it actually is.

Brilliant performance - we totally outplayed Stanley and 4-0 was certainly not flattering.
We were absolutely fantastic to watch today.

I wonder  if I'm the only one who thought that we weren't at it for a lot of that game.
We didn't seem to play with the intensity and pace we have in the last few games but we still got a job done.

Up to scoring the 1st goal maybe. After that we were a master class. We could easily have won 8-0 today.

The football was great today. We punched through their back line with ease all game and could have had 6 or 7 if we were more clinical.

The performance of a side that was freewheeling towards a title.

Professional but nowhere near top gear.

Not taking anything away from our performance but we didn’t have to be intense to beat them. They were shocking.

I'm just back.

Travelling home from Sutton was just the worst; today it was like I floated back.

What a complete performance - front to back. Everyone was on it. Bewildering at times.

Down to just one point. As my son said at 3-0; the chase is now over - it's a shoot out.

I'm not calming down now.

Glad that some of the players were able to come of early today and that we have a week before the next game.... Barrow have a 5 and a half hour trip to Crawley on Tuesday, before we welcome them on Saturday.... and they will be without their centre back also after this ...

Horrific foul.
Amazing how some Barrow players are trying to stop the ref sending Ray off.

Today felt like a side that had won the title putting on an end of season show.

By ten minutes in you could see the Accrington players looking dejected and defeated.

Never known a turnaround like this in such a short space of time.

We had an aura today that reminded me of Penney's title winners, where we'd just cruise past teams without getting out of third gear. We look so well organised at the minute.

This exactly.

But we are playing Moore's style of football.

The change in performances and results came when we suddenly changed to the style of playing the ball in our own box, drawing opponents out of position and then striking forwards rapidly.

Prior to that, we'd been fannying about in midfield with no-one making runs, and getting screwed by aggressive presses. The change of style has been at least as important as the new signings.

What a joy to watch. Nicked the ball back so many times. Every player worked hard when not in possession as if instructed to get the ball back within 6 seconds of losing it. Loads of movement when we had the ball which made some of the inter passing quick, fluid and precise (Maxwell’s goal). Also using that pinpoint go long ball, Olowu doing this week’s Glenn Hoddle impression for Haks’ goal.
Such a great mixture
Thank you GM and CB

I think the football is drastically different to Moore’s.
We play it out at the back but it’s one particular pattern of play, which is get it to Maxwell as quickly as possible and then Maxwell play it into midfield as quickly as possible.
If this play isn’t on then we lump it up to Ironside.
We get the ball forward miles quicker than we did under Moore, our keeper and centre halves used to have more touches than any other player, that isn’t the case now.
We are a team that leaves players up the park and we get the ball to them as quickly as possible

TLT is instrumental in this , I wouldn't trust Lawlor or Jones to do what he does
