Reatained Player contracts

When will they be signing? Have they been offered contracts yet? Anyone know? I thought this would be the first thing Dickov got done. Don't want us to lose our best players. Saw on Twitter something about Spurr's agent putting his name about, hope we don't lose him

can only  assume things are going on behind the scenes. just wish the fans were kept in the loop to dispel all the rumours. sick of reading negative comments.

The club stated when they issued their released list that they will be offering new deals to the out of contract players they want to keep.

What more do you want them to say?

Looks like Spurr is history.
Several clubs are queuing up to sign him. Unfortunately we won't get anything for him. We can't compete withe the salaries other clubs will be offering him. Blackburn, Bolton, Derby etc.

There was a thread on here last week and it was on SS News

How many assumptions there?  Nothing to say it's true, he wants to or that it will happen......

spurr isn't irreplaceable! Good player yes, but we have lost better in the past and coped. I fail to see how the club can be at fault for this situation. The player has all the power these days. How do people know that spurr's agent wasn't sounding out potential clubs since January?

Re: Spurr, what more could we have done to keep him, except offering him a longer contract in the first place (which he may or may not have signed)?

Since he signed, we have not been in a position to offer him any kind of extension. It's unfortunate, but we've benefited from expired contracts in the past.

BFYP,
I bet you 50p Spurr is not a Rovers player come the start of next season!
