he who cannot be named ? hmmmmm

how the hell you meant to keep things quiet when you play the bloke when brughton and a few scouts must be watching ?
seems a little off putting to me ?
is it just a fitness trial ?
a favour ?
god knows but why say keep it quiet when it will be all over the mobile phones on championship managers phones that hes played tonite and by all
accounts played well ?
i really hope it works out for us but if im honest i have my doubts
we have vine to sign and this algerian how is it the money seems to appear ?

ROLL ON THE SEASON IF THIS ALL WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When the official website tweets his name it is particularly difficult to keep it quiet!

Listen, JR asked us as a favour to take the news down on Thursday night.  I'm guessing that discussions were under way at that time, and by friday evening some decision had been made one way or the other which lifted the club's veil of secrecy.

Either that, or no-one told the media team to keep schtum.  ;-)

Does this mean we may have some good news Rob?

Hope the official site is as quick to tell us as they were to release his name!

I honestly have no idea, mate, just trying to quantify why we were directly asked to pull the name yet other sources even closer to the club seemed to be able to bandy it about freely.

To my mind, something must have happened to change that stance - either the deal is done, or its not and we cant afford him.  On last nights evidence he is certainly a player who would fit into our style of play, so I'd have thought if the budget is there we will secure him, and if it isnt then they would have known this before kick off last night so why still play him?  To me, that means the chance of good news coming again is greatly enhanced.

It does seem a bit farcical, when someone from the club let people into the training ground to watch them training while we have a mystery player on trial. How was the poster to know that it was a secret? then to top it all only hours later DRFC official is tweeting the same news on twitter!

Like I say, Dave, I expect something has changed in the interim.

He is either our player, or we let him play last night as a favour to put his name out there.

If you want to keep a player under wraps, it is hardly a wise move to play him in a public friendly.

I would hope in the last friendly before the starts we wouldn't be playing someone for most of the game as a 'favour'.

Very confident on this, as already mentioned, this could be our Charlie Adam.
