How much is a loan player going to cost us?
« on August 08, 2011, 08:50:35 pm by Red wizard »
I know its going to depend on who the player is but if we are going to be looking at 250k plus would we not be better going in for a player from L1 L2 and take a punt? We have heard sod say he has target for if Billy was sold so now maybe the time to get him in for when Sharp leaves. I rekon 300k would get us Le fondre or some one like him.

Weekly wage X weeks at the club = cost to the club - supplying clubs contribution (if any). Doubt it will be anywhere near 250k. Would of thought that the type of player SOD could afford to bring in would cost 10's of thousands not 100's of thousands.

Hang on, can someone check football manager before we consider. This will give us a great indication of whether we can pursue this or not.

According to fm he is on 3k a week with a minmun fee realease of 425k for le fondre

Andy keogh is on 9k and has just moved to wigan ???

But that just on my game

Any way don't worry cause we sold Billy to west brom for 3.5 million and is on 22k

Haven't got Football Manager, but I have been able to quickly check Gran Tourismo II.

We should be able to afford a second-hand NSX.

Hope that clears it up for everyone.

Never mind FM Le Fondre is rated at 1.5m in real life. By them anyway.

Aye but they're taking the piss at that, i'm amazed to be honest that we've never been in for Le Fondre, you'd surely get him for less than 0.5m and we must be able to match his wage expectations. He's scored goals for fun all his career, admittedly at a lower level but he looks to have all the attributes i'd be looking for - but it's not me that does the buying!

He's surely one that could only increase in value too?

I agree, or maybe even a loan deal for him, pay his wages, give Rotherham x amount and with an option to buy ie 500k. We can see if he's good enough for this league, Rotherham get paid, he gets a shot in this division. WIN WIN.

Adam LeFondre has ZERO pace.  If it was my decision I certainly wouldn't be looking his way.
