I thought that Bolton are a big club.
But Bury weren’t / aren’t a big club and both were mentioned together.
So the big club survived and the little one didn’t.. I’m sure that was the point being made.?
The way these clubs are going to the wall, and with the rumours that more are to follow, it not only makes me grateful for having a well run club , in Rovers, that isn't over reaching, but also makes me wonder how many clubs will be left in 5 years!

Macclesfield’s attendances have never been great and in reality, their place is in the National League at best. As with Bury, owners who fail in their duty to secure the long term future of their club, run the risk of having no club to own. As someone who grew up supporting the Shakers before moving to Doncaster, I am grateful that Rovers have owners who appear to put long term sustainability before short term gain.
