I don't need a dream translator
to explain the one last night
it was all about James Hayter
the ex Rover from the Isle of Wight.
He was always a great creator
when he donned the hooped red and white
and no reward could have been greater
when he scored the goal that put out the shite
It had to happen sooner or later
that a time to move on was right
but please don't call him a traitor
he'll just put up more of a fight!
So don't be a Hayter Slater
try not to make him bite
You'll only regret it later
if he plays with all his might
So if you're not a Hayter rater
try to see the light
don't be a masturbator
try and be a bit bright
Don't be a Hayter hater
keep you're support just Red and White
Then we can all go out later
and celebrate victory on Saturday night.
Rovers 2 Yeovil 1

I agree Bentley, I will always remember him and applaud him for that goal at Wembley - so he's gone to another club, good luck to him!
Still want him on the losing side tomorrow though!

Wonderful contribution, well done

Really appreciate all of the above! Dry your eyes, I was referring to the scoreline

Reverse psychology. That's why JR is presenting James with something tomorrow. It says we regard you as a Rovers legend but don't you dare score against us.....which he surely will.
Don't know what rest of you think, been watching Rovers since 1967 but I'll take to my grave the golden goal by Franny Tierney and James Hayter's Wembley winner. They are not toppable...ever!!

It was a resurrection goal

It was a resurrection goal
That's my take on it - we have had some fabulous times since that day - but that (and to a lesser extent Whitman's in the semi) was the goal that really began our rebirth!
