Team vs Brighton
« on February 27, 2012, 06:14:05 pm by weststander »
Ikeme/Button/ANO

O'Connor (Chimbonda is too slow)
Beye
Martis
Spurr

Keegan
Gillett
Stock
Woods

Brown
Diouf

Time to change things around a bit. Relies on fitness but both Brown and Keegan played 90 mins last week. Playing Keegan releases Stock from defensive duties and Brown can hassle and maybe score.

Ikeme/Button/ANO

O'Connor
 Beye
 Hird (or is he crocked?)
 Spurr

 Gillett
 Stock
 Woods

Brown
 Diouf
Bagayoko

We're hopeless when we try to contain, always look vulnerable and my nerves can't handle it.  4-3-3 gives us a much better chance, although not guarranteed to score with 10 strikers

Plessis is either injured or is he still at the club, never played today behind closed doors. Woods also never got a runout so I assume he is not ready for Saturday.  So Gillett and Barnes looks like they will be in the midfield.

Dunno why Plessis ain't getting a chance tbh, waste of a signing.

Martis aint injured Keith, just Sam Hird is A LOT better centre back than Martis is.

Hope he's not out of contract in the summer? Can't see us being able to keep hold of him if he is.

Hird has been quality this year, great for him to be playing alongside the quality of Beye

when's George back?

I thought Martis played well on Saturday. Deserves to keep his place on that showing IMO.

No way should Martis be starting ahead of Sam Hird. Or indeed Sam Fox, Sam and Dave, Fireman Sam, Samuel Pepys, you can basically take your pick. If we want to have any chance of winning on Saturday then Shelton should stay firmly on the bench.

So terminate his loan then! Or have we suddenly found some more money down the back of the sofa that we can afford 2k p/w or whatever on some no mark forgeiner whos worse than Oster (must be if Oster is ahead of him in the pecking order).

Glad i didn't donate any money to the loan star appeal.

Personally I think we need pace on the flanks against Brighton. Buckley needs to be kept on a short leash, and Mackerell-Fish has a turn of speed.

Down at Brighton, the wide players had an impact against us second half.

If fit, Chambers and Muzzy add a bit of zip. About time Muzzy got a shout right side midfield, but whatever we need to go for the win.

Defeat at home, followed by nothing from the Florists, and the fat lady will be clearing her throat.

Would Chambers add \"zip\" straight off the back of a year without football though?

Edit - Just re-read. I suppose you did say \"if fit.\"

Don't know. He could only sign for another month anyway. Me thinks we dropped a clanger.
