I agree with most of that except
5) Poorer teams? Reading are shite.
9) Sulli back to his best? At fault for winner at Cardiff, and at fault for 2 of boro's goals.
10) Martis was poor yesterday, went missing for the 1st goal, and chasing shadows for the 2nd, and nearly cost us another by playing Stock into trouble. (Although, i do think he will get better!)
-
I'd still rather have Sulli than any other Championship keeper whether or not at fault he's saved us far more points than he has cost us.
-
i have to disagree with you there \"danrover82\" id rather have that westwood from coventry, but i do like sully he just seems rather slow to get down at times, which in all fairness to him he is knocking on abit
-
young players drop clangers too though, the fact remains he doesn't cost us many pts per season at all. There wasn't much he could do for the 2nd at Cardiff it was at pace and right at him. Its down to luck and ours will change.
-
Disagree with you there stuey, some great points in the original post and Martis was decent yesterday. He actually tries to play the ball out of defence, and he was solid in the air too.
Reading are a good side too, they closed us down perfectly and stopped us playing the way we wanted to. They shouldn't be in the bottom three and won't be for much longer.
-
Considering it was Martis' start in a proper match for a long time, and only being back in the red and white for a week, I thought he played very well. Solid, honest, no-nonsense defender who isn't scared of going into the oppos' half and can pass. What more can you ask for?
My opnion of course :silly:

The only point of concern re Martis was at times he was little ambitious bringing the ball out of defence, hence susceptible to being caught out of position.
Offset this against him bringing the ball out of defence beautifully, being strong physically, as well as in the tackle and indeed in the air, considering all this on his debut (short of match practice) he was brilliant!

Just a thought why are we still loosing to crap like Reading? we should have sailed pasted Cardiff last week , we are looking over our shoulder now , what number should that be on? :S

Ooops. sorry, the defence in general was chasing shadows, very harsh on Shelton, i do admit.
