So would have I, last Saturday I was talking to one his ex youth team colleagues and he said exactly the same because he had a very high percentage of penalty saves

His general shot saving % is not very good. Has he ever saved a penalty for the first team?

There will be other factors but staying down this season means we lost any chance of TLT, potentially Craig coming back, and perhaps even the three out of contract players. Go up, and most of those would have been possible. Same after losing at Charlton, all the quality then left. It is fine margins to keep progressing.

He played 10 minutes of league football this year, and 1255 minutes the season before.

Both McSheffrey and Schofield used him a decent amount, less so McCann. His injury this season clearly hasn't helped.
