i thought maxted looked great in the warm up and performed well in the game. didnt have a great deal to do but made an outstanding stop in the 2nd half. didnt think the goal was his fault. does anyone think that he would benefit from a season on loan as he isnt gonna get much 1st team football. think he will be an asset for the future.

Well it looks like Kello is coming back according to
Liam Hoden : "Maxted in goal today. Dickov told me yesterday Marian Kello is back at home in Slovakia but is likely to return to Rovers #drfc #dfplive"

And hopefully we get Shay as well :-)

Yeah I'd agree. The goal wasn't his fault IMO, Spurr really dropped him in it with that one. it wasn't reaching him in a hurry but he took a touch so when he did get there all he could do was kick and hope for the best!
A loan could do him the world of good.

For me, and not just on todays performance, too reluctant to come off his line and collect. He made a couple of good saves/gathers but we need a more commanding keeper to give the back four confidence to push out.

my point exactly. good keeper for future. not championship level yet.

Well, we'll have to sign him first before we can let him go out on loan.
And hopefully we will get another keeper in before he goes?

I think we will have Kello in goal next Saturday.  If the takeover goes through then I expect he will be me our No 2 and a higher profile keeper will be brought in.
