Few years ago thought he was very limited indeed.

I was totally wrong he breaks the play up beautifully and is a fantastic squad player.

Well done last night too!

In a team of flair players (which is what we have around midfield), you always need your Didier Deschamps.

I would tip my wages up to keep Wellens and first name on the team sheet. His partner is one of Keegan, Furman, Fernandez or a possibility of one of the flair player.

I really rate Furman more than Keegan (I rate Keegan too) and from seeing him in one game I rate Fernandez more than these 2. It comes down to 'what/who makes the team tick' rather than individuals.

Nice situation for Rovers

Wellens is that man but we need to keep hold of him first and foremost. Trouble is, with all that is going on in the Boardroom right now, I'm not holding my breath.

Our midfield is amazing! As the season goes on they'll click more and more. I've always rated Keegan though when he first came here the side around him was very weak and I don't think he was used to the best of his abilities.

It has to be Wellens first on the teamsheet right now, though he's going to be seriously pushed by the others.

Squads shaping up nicely, got competition for places and a good mix of younger players with a few old heads. A lot better equipped for the championship this time round. Well done Dickov & co

Good question Tiddysdad.
Does anyone know how long he has actually signed for? A sort term contract could be a month, 2 months, 3 etc etc.
I take it amy extension to what we already have him for will be subject to new investment???

It could be short term similar to Naylor's was - rolling three months or something like that.

Feared as much and I think it is imperative we keep him. Keep him fit and I reckon he will be the player who keeps things ticking when we are not playing well.
