We can't keep hiding our head in the sand. Crowds have been bad all season.

No doubt the feel good factory will be here soon to tell me things are great and another survey will be coming my way soon to check how happy I am.

Looking at it realistically .. it is 3 home games in a week and when you include the cost of the journey to those three match tickets ,it is no suprise family groups can't fork ot for all three games.

Let's just enjoy the result. The club have offered some great offers this season. There's not much more we can do other than hope that the team continues to perform on the pitch.

Nudga, the crowd today were magnificent.  The boys got fantastic support all game long.  I'm not having some idiot who obviously wasnt there coming on here and moaning about a number, just to feed his own desire to get a rise.  Not biting, and no one else should either.

I couldn't go today but can go Tuesday, I expect a similar crowd.
Facts are that many of our supporters are already looking at our away games e.g. Brentford........who will be more than happy to pocket our monies. Come on fellas the lads need your support at home too.
Like Rob says........savour the win and remember this is half-term and many are away on holiday hence the crowd.

I went and the crowd were magnificent.

Furthermore it was nice to hear the Tranmere fans only once our song had finished.

Hoola, it actually looked a bigger crowd than the Swindon game, to me.  The SS and WS were pretty full, plus the East was busier than usual and Tranmere brought a fair few too.  Looked a lot more than a sub-8k crowd.  I think a recount might be required.

That figure has to be wrong. I to thought the crowd was bigger than the swindon game. You can't tell me that we could have fitted another 7000 or more in there

Do we need to get them all back tomorrow for a headcount Rob ?

Perhaps they've omitted the 'away' sales in the figure ?

Normally a good judge of these things and thought at least 8500. More seats taken up in the lower rows of each stand.

Been a while since they announced the crowd figure which has spoilt our 'guess the attendance' competition. Anyone else like to see them bring it back?

I was appalled when i heard the attendance today. There was easily nearly 9000 there. Certainly hundreds more than the swindon match so something not right.

If, and its a big if, that attendance is correct, then Grand National aside, its a very disappointing turnout for such an important game.

Gillingham have had three home games in the last two months at home where they have attracted crowds of 10K+. Why is this? They are no different to rovers.

the crowds will not affect my attendance at the game, its just disappointing that there are literally hundreds of floaters who could turn out but for whatever reason dont.

i am not the person to judge on who is better at being a supporter. You either support or you dont, you can either get to the game or you cant.  I am fully aware of constraints through family, economic downturn, budgets, committments etc etc. i just feel that crowds should be more than they are.

My opinion only. I hope to be proved wrong on Tues night and the public turn out for the best, most consistent side in s Yorks currently.
RTID.

Gillingham have always had decent crowds. They have a huge catchment area, the borough has nearly 300 000, plus they are the only team for 20 miles - further if you look southwards - so you can easily double that. We have four teams within 20 miles and a lot of people in Donny prefer to support some team in West Yorkshire who were good in the 1970's. I forget their name.

I thought the crowd were excellent today. Bit surprised at the figure here, I thought there were more. Took my dad with me today. We always seem to win 1-0 when he goes. Even though I'm not there Tuesday I might send him along just to sit there. Don't give a monkeys if he enjoys it or not

For the millionth time, the attendance is irrelevant - it is the performance and result that counts!!!!

Couldnt agree more about performances. Crowds pay wages though and with one of the larger budgets wages wise it all helps.
