Bogle not even on bench?
Or Halliday

C'mon Andy, show 'em how it's done!!!
:scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
Come on Donny :rtid: :rtid:
-
Feeling strangely positive about today’s game. Sure that won’t last long though!?
-
Guess who’s on the Shrews’ bench? A certain Mr Curtis Main.
-
Harsh on Greaves.
-
Very harsh. He played very well last time out
-
glad Butler playing, got in laws in Shropshire ,
don't let me down now
-
Get innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
-
0-1 Fej
Get in rovers
-
Guess who’s on the Shrews’ bench? A certain Mr Curtis Main.
He has scored a couple of times for them.
-
Good finish. He had a long time to think about it and sometimes that makes it easier to cock up.
-

That’s what worries me hound! :)
-
It just had to be Fej ⚽️
-
Anyone like to sum up the first 23 minutes, please?
Thanks!
-
Looking brighter for sure, and not just the sun.
-
Much livelier from Rovers. More energy, more pressing.
And already we’ve created more chances than we have in the last six games!
-
Balcombe’s distribution is woeful.
-
Balcombe just kick it down the middle please!
-
Much livelier from Rovers. More energy, more pressing.
And already we’ve created more chances than we have in the last six games!
We did alright against Burton in the first half to be fair!
-

Thanks, Briz and Pancho!
-
You can see Butler doing the dictating on the pitch, making sure people are in the correct position. We've lacked that leadership without him.
-
Taylor Richards looks a lot more committed than recently, he’s covering a lot of ground and causing them problems.
-
According to the BBC website Andy B has already committed 3 fouls...calm down, Andy!
-
Richards again tackling back, much better from him.
-

Playoffs still on the menu, then?!
-
Every ball to our forwards is a chase down.
-
We’re getting into the opposition’s penalty area so much more than we have lately.
-
Maybe im still a bit frustrated from recent results but, I am not sure what some are watching? Its garbage.
-
Butler having a good game. He does the basics so well, which is what we need.
An important tackle from him there in the box.
-
Maybe im still a bit frustrated from recent results but, I am not sure what some are watching? Its garbage.
That's how low the bar's been set. Don't care about performance just not losing would be a massive step forward
-
Wouldn’t say garbage, deffo better then recently but still struggling with balls in box and riding are luck a few times already
-
The slightest touch and this ref is blowing for a free kick.
-
Cannot believe Balcombe’s distribution!
-
Maybe im still a bit frustrated from recent results but, I am not sure what some are watching? Its garbage.
Garbage?! It’s a hell of an improvement on recent performances.
You can expect them to be lacking in confidence but this certainly isn’t garbage.
-
Half a clean sheet!
-
HT 0-1
Well done Rovers, keep it going.
-
Half a clean sheet!
Careful, DO...that what I said at half time in the Burton game!
-
Cannot believe Balcombe’s distribution!
Aim for the green bit between the Stands
I would be shouting that if there lol
-
Much better than recent performances but we're still absolutely hopeless in the final third.
-
Maybe im still a bit frustrated from recent results but, I am not sure what some are watching? Its garbage.
Garbage?! It’s a hell of an improvement on recent performances.

Improvement yes, but still shite! Cant string basic passes together and still an inability to create anything. The only difference here is the scoreline. Performancewise nothing has changed in my opinion.
-

Problem is he can’t or won’t tackle. If he could add that to his game then we would have a player.
He is a luxury player most of the time.

I must have missed that. His attempted tackles are woeful imo.
But yes he looks more committed.
-
Well, confidence is fragile but that was better.

The performance is secondary. If they can just find a way to somehow not lose, then it would be a huge confidence boost.
-
Decided not to watch the game today. Think I’ll stay away for the rest of the season.

To be honest the most important thing is we win. We are not going to to produce brilliant football with the run we are on. We just want 100% commitment and a little bit of luck to get us the 3 points.
-

But yes he looks more committed.
Did you see that one?

Agreed. I am just pointing out the fact that we are still terrible on the eye. Whilst i dont expect to suddenly turn up and wipe the floor with teams but i cant sit here and say we are much better because we are not.
-
Think you need to look harder mate - much more commitment than in previous games.
-
Richards again tackling back, much better from him.

Did you see that one?
And that one?
-
Rovers breakaway with 3 on 2 and yes you guessed it.
-
Rovers players are frightened to take responsibility and have a strike
-
Rovers breakaway with 3 on 2 and yes you guessed it.
2-0?
-
Haha love it
-
That was a great break and we avoided a shot but won a corner
-
The managers on the floor.
-
This ref not missing any opportunity to ping the Rovers.
-
Fej is much better than bogle
-
Fej is much better than bogle
He's held it up well today and been fairly good shot wise. Not the story earlier in the season when Bogle first arrived.
-
Fej is much better than bogle
Agreed
-
Wouldn't say we've been good today but certainly stuck to the task. I don't feel let down by anyone today, and of course it helps that they're winning.
-
Yesssss
-
Lovely pressing from Richards.
-
Richards :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid:
-
I think we are going to nick a second goal.
Edit. I had a feeling that was going to happen.
-
Get in!!!!!
-
Fab goal by Richards :scarf:
-
Double sweet
-
Are we looking for the second goal, or just sitting back?
-
Taylor Richards really is crap - he could have taken around the keeper and got on the ground and nodded it in with his nose - just no commitment
-
Nearly a third then by Jules
-
Are we looking for the second goal, or just sitting back?
An answer is not now required!
-
Taylor Richards really is crap - he could have taken around the keeper and got on the ground and nodded it in with his nose - just no commitment
That would have been disallowed and a yellow card. I watched a video a few months ago of a player doing exactly that and he was booked
-
Get that on twitter.
-
Not watching today but it seems like Butler has made a big difference.

Under what rule would it be disallowed.
-
Say that video as well , rounded the keeper and took 15 seconds to score , well a rovers win bet come in
-
Taylor Richards really is crap - he could have taken around the keeper and got on the ground and nodded it in with his nose - just no commitment
That is totally unfair.
He’s been excellent today.
-
Loki Loki looked good on that move. Poor finish from Jules though
-
Wooosh

Did you hear that mate? sound of the joke going over your head. ;)

I believe under Law 12:
CAUTIONS FOR UNSPORTING BEHAVIOUR
Shows a lack of respect for the game
-

Has definitely led from the back. Richards and Okenabirhie been decent too.

Yes, I know about the card for unsportsmanlike behaviour but can’t see why the goal could have been disallowed.
-
Bloody rubbish Rovers - only won by 2 goals when we should have had 13 at least..and we were lucky to get a clean sheet mainly because they didn’t have a shot on goal in the second half nowt to do about our defending.
Bloody rubbish Rovers get em all off.
-
Brilliant!
I’ll take garbage like that every week ....
-

Cheers. Now if we could win the last six games.............
-
Thank god for that.
A win and a clean sheet!
Well done Andy lad.

-
A full performance there. Most f**king welcome.
-
A win at last! Well done Donny, that’s cheered me up for the week. Player Manager Butler has got a lot more commitment from the team, build on this result now in the last games we have this season.
-
Back on track - Butler for player-manager!
-

He walks on water now. :)

I suppose, hound, if you commit a caution-able offence whilst scoring, then the goal has to be disallowed. Just my opinion!

Like the tackle that won the ball for the second goal you mean?
Much improved from him today
-
That result says a lot though. Maybe we've really lacked a real leader.
-
Butler made a big difference today. I’m really pleased for him, especially after the s**t some people have spouted on here about him lately.
It’s so pleasing to get a clean sheet and to stop the rot.
-

We probably only need to win 5 hound. A walk in the park ;)
-

Any update on that?
-
When the manager is stood behind you shouting instructions......there is nowhere to hide...that’s the difference.
Makes you wonder why Butts didn’t play at the beginning of his tenure ?

Yes I hold my hands up Filo. Must have heard me as he won 2/3 second half.
He played well much more committed to the cause.
-
Playoffs here we come.
-
Well that was a much better 2 half performance than we’ve seen for a good while. Matt Smith was awesome in midfield, the defence looked a lot more solid with AB in there. Glad I bothered spending the tenner today, I did have thoughts of not bothering.
Onwards and upwards
COYR
-
Playoffs here we come.
Steady on lad
-
Playoffs here we come.
It’s not impossible!
-
I think if we had been on form with more confidence throughout the team we would have won 5/6 nil today.
We missed some golden opportunities which earlier in the season we would have taken.
Shrewsbury were a poor side & there for the taking.
No complaints from me though. We just needed 100% from all the players for the entire game. We got the reward with the 3 points.
-
Playoffs here we come.
We are going up. We are going up.
Well we can at least smile can’t we. It is so nice to have that winning feeling again. I almost forgot what it felt like.
-
Get in lads! Brilliant to finally win a game. Serves me right for choosing this week to not watch. Sounds like Butts MOM?
