guys Im a wee bit worried as BT are threatening to throttle my line! I have Bt Broadband at my gf house which I pay for. I have the unlimited option (fair use 100 GB a month) and I have had Bt contact me as this month the usage is 91GB! it has averaged between 48 and 49 GB a month for the last 6 month, last month was only 29?? why could this happen? there are 2 x xbox both running live, and 2 x laptop max at any time running! the kids arent using P2P , I was but havent for ages? any thoughts???

Carl, sounds like someone may have been doing lots of streaming, either music or dvd's. If i was you call 0800800030 Option 1 and advise them of your concerns, im sure they will be accomodating and also do a 'full usage check' to see what is happening with your BB.
Sounds daft but you have read the amount right, it doesn't say 91,000 gigs not 91GB?

Is your router secure, could someone be blagging your internet connection ie. next door

Erm scuse me if I'm wrong ..fair usage= 100gb actual usage =91gb fairly close but still 9gb short of the fair usage policy

I thought that too? I would just point that out to them and see what they say? They can't say you are abusing the fair usage policy if you have only come close to the limit once or twice? :S

Sounds likely to me. Check it's secure.
Then again, have you started using any new games on the Xbox? Some will need to send and receive more data than others.
