Seems that America politicians don`t like critism

And an over reaction od epic proportions by the paranoid Yanks. Yep. The silly sod shouldn't have done it. But come on! Have none of us ever done something stupid in a moment of drunken foolishness? And have we not had the wise older head say 'Silly bugger. Go home. Sleep it off and don't do it again'. How to win friends around the world. Not. Intolerance is alive and extremely well thank you in the good ol' US of A.

A bairn does something daft and police in both sides of the fcuking Atlantic prioritise giving him a grilling? It's bloody stupid. Even if he had threatened to walk over the bleeding ocean and personally eviscerate every member of Congress, there's a need for a bit of context here.
It's to be hoped Obama never signs up to the VSC Forum. He wouldn't last 2 chuffing minutes.
Actually, what is REALLY disturbing about this is that the Met jumped when the FBI clicked their fingers. Somebody there should have told them to go and get fcuked.

Is being banned from the USA all that bad?
Can't be much fun over there at the moment, what with their trillion dollar debt and whatnot. Not to mention Palin.

I vowed never to go there again when they brought in those awful regulations after September 11th designed to know not only your basic details as a tourist but also some staggeringly personal stuff. Nice country, generally cheap, some amazing sights and some crazily stupid people. I once met a PhD student in a university bar in New Orleans. I'll admit he'd had a drink, but when he asked me, and I quote !\"Gee! Aren't you frightened living so close to the Russians?\" (it was in the days of the USSR) I learned then and there that America and intellect regarding the world outside do not generally go hand in hand. Did you know that around 2% of Americans have travelled, even once, outside their own country? And did you know the equivalent figure here, and in Europe generally, is around 40%? We're xenophobic and ignorant of the world around us. They don't even believe it exists in any real way.

Well agreed it was an overreaction; however, we are not privy to the email he sent. I believe it probably comes down to intent and if/how he threatened Obama, and whether he would carry out that threat. Now I don't know what the criteria is that the FBI uses, and of course it turns out to be a drunk kid; but I read that he has gotten more than 3x or so the amount of death threats of other presidents. Sadly I'm sure some of them are because he's black. Interestingly, the precedent for this law was based on the British Act of Treason of 1351, see Wiki below. Btw, both this story and the one about the, errr, surprise in the cereal box are from Murdock-owned sites.
