Title: Donny v Swansea
Post by: CusworthRovers on November 19, 2010, 08:58:04 pm
Crikey this game will be like a game of chess between 2 grand masters. Not sure how the new ones will view this type of game, if that's how it will unfold.

That said, I am hopeful of a 1-0 win and Healy to score. That's my heart. My head tells me 1-1 and Healy to score

Difficult to predict the team with injury doubts. I would have Muzzy on the side that Sinclair go's on, just to give him something to think about and to cope with his pace.

I would go with the same back 4 if all fit, just to give us continuity.......is this the game we unleash the Brooker either at the start or sooner in the game.

Muzzy and Gary Woods were in Relish this tea time, I just hope Muzzy was having a very raw steak.

I'm chuffin desperate for a win tomorrow, I really am

1-0 Rovers.

Corner ball hits the back of Thomas's head and flies into the top corner after twenty three seconds. Swans miss a last minute pen. Rovers move up into 4th.

Great but my heart wouldn't take that, I would never hear the final whistle.

I like the idea of Muzzy on Sinclair. Possibly the best player in the league and the one I fear most.

2-1 Rovers

Copps
Shiels

Very tough one to call... it could be a great exhibition or it could as Cussy suggests wind up with both sides cancellig each other out. Hope its the former

Anyroad, here's Viva Rovers' match preview (http://vivarovers.wordpress.com/2010/11/19/welsh-to-do-swansea-city-preview/)

The Friday Night BST Stat Machine has found the killer stat chaps, and with it the Taffies' Achilles Heel

Swansea's away form this season is P8, W4, D0, L4.

Every single away game that they have won has been south of a horizontal line going through Watford (Watford, Palace, Reading, Cardiff). Every single away game that they have lost has been north of a line going through Norwich (Norwich, Hull, Leeds, Forest).

That's it! The gret Southern pufters just don't like it up here in the grim North.

All we want is a bit of a pea-souper, a few gutteral oesophagus clearances on the pre-match mike, and for their bus to be diverted through Hyde Park on the way to the KMS and job done. The soft gets'll shit theirsens and roll over.

Anyway. I keep coming back to our Friday nights when we used to beat them 2-1.

On current form, we'll be 2-0 up with an hour to go. Squeeky bum time !

Hold out for the 2-1 win and you look at the league table and you think hello !

We win the game and we look forward to seeing all and sundry praising us only to find out The Football League show are doing a special on Bland FC v Boring AFC (Coventry) and doing a potted history on Lincoln City !!

\"Doncaster move up to 5th at the expence of Swansea. What a lovely footballing team Swansea are. Brendan Rodgers is showing his time at Chelsea is not wasted and he's fast becoming one of the most highly rated young managers in the football league. What do you think Steve?\"

\"Well, you look at Doncaster and ..\"

\"Thanks Steve, and now we looking at Wycombe Wanderers, but first, here's Lizzie....\"

must say that swansea are outplaying us, out passing us and out fighting us.  our mid
field need to step up their work rate quite a bit.

I don't have it as my netbook has very little disk space for additional applications, so must rely on Lucky Pinters or radio commentary, when available.

Copps chance just now, but we're having to do a lot of defending. Swansea substitution sounds like they're going for more attack.

Near miss by Healy. 20 minutes to go - another goal would make those minutes pass more easily!

I was level with it and certainly in the time it takes to switch your view from the kicker to the receiver I don't think he could have made so much ground to get clear.  Looked offside to me.

Offside and handball.  Good finish by Rangel but dubious.  Just watched the highlights and we had chances to score 3 or 4 goals.
