Anybody see the big meteor this evening?
I was driving through Sheffield about 17:40 when what looked like a 'kin huge green/red firework shot across the sky. Had a colleague in the car and we both said, \"What the f**king hell was...?\"
I thought it was a plane on fire but it was going way too fast.
Turns out, according to Radio 5, that it was a big meteor. They reckon a piece of rock the size of a football hit the atmosphere at 50,000mph.
I assume it landed on Mr Frost's house?

:) Sorry to laugh Mr. Frost, but I couldn't help it. You're such a good sport though!

It did. I'm blaming it on Al Qaeda though.

What? It wasn't the ticket office's fault?
-
Yep, saw it in Reading - it was bloody impressive.

Coincidentally the size of a football? I think not. It was one of Dean Barrick's delicate cross-field balls re-entering the atmosphere after hitting the woodwork on the International Space Station. Never a fan of \"tippy-tappy football\", our Dean.
