Tis the time of year to think of our favorite new music of 2010. My faves this year were: Mumford and Sons Sigh no more, Arcade Fire -the Suburbs, Black Keys - Brothers, New Bruce Springsteen - The promise. Also liked Florence and the Machine.
Probably forgetting a lot though...

I'll go for XXX by Jimmy Edgar and Swim by Caribou.
-
I'll go for the suburbs by arcade fire. Just gets better with every listen. Stunning live.

Also as a lover of old school reggae a recent best of from the late great Dennis Brown. Also 2010 marked the passing of one of my favourites Gregory Isaccs.

If you like reggae check out Fabriclive 54 mixed by David Rodigan. Very good indeed.
-
Warpaint - The Fool.
Favourite album I've actually bought this year is The Thermals - The Body, The Blood, The Machine.
-
Although not recorded this year, my favourite album of the year is Love, Ire and Song by Frank Turner.
I also rather unexpectedly enjoyed Brand New Eyes by Paramore, thanks to my daughter insisting we go to see them.
-
Panini Champioship sticker Album  - my son got the lot (cost me a fortune though!)
-
Donna Summer....I Feel Love. When she sings that live, it's like she's in a trance
-
Wake Up The Nation - Paul Weller
Blood Of The Earth - Hawkwind
Band Of Joy - Robert Plant

Paramore certainly has it's plus points - the lovely Hayley:
