...any good?
Anyone here got one recommend it? Or is it worth paying extra for the next model up?

From my own experience the 8520 is a budget smart phone but does the basics (email, texts and calls) very well. The 8900 Curve suffers from trackball problems which the 8520 doesn't have. If you want something for internet browsing then these phones aren't the best really. The Blackberry touch phones get good reviews but like any phone you need to decide what you are going to use it for.

Cheers, I'll have to read online reviews. I can remember a few topics here about the blackberry so thought I'd ask here first.

Just to add, I dont like online reviews. Say ps3 v xbox...all the ps3 owners go on xbox reviews and slag it off and vice versa. I once bought a mountain bike which had raving reviews and bought the wrong one because cretins giving the bike i was after bad ratings
