Am I the only one, or has anyone else been getting a page telling them there is a \"bad username\" or something of the like when trying to go on a page here?
-
No but I am struggling to navigate from page to page.......it's taking an age. :(
-
I get an odd page like that now and again, I just figured that sometimes the forum goes into melt down and the excess traffic causes it to crash...

Yeah, that too!
-
I'll ask BobJimWilly to check the server stats but I suspect there is an army of FLJs repeatedly hitting F5 for news of possible new signings. Why they think there may be one in the offing, I'll never know....
;-)
-
\"One in the offing\"?
Admit it - we're re-signing Offiong aren't we.
-
Yep I've been getting it the last couple of days, server capacity or maintenance
-
Sorry guys, no problems for me. Just lucky perhaps.

Pain in the butt this is becoming
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Tis the report I`ve been encountering throughout the festive season.

I'd be more worried about their apache install rather than the board crashing. Apache 2.2.15 is riddled with vulnerabilities and is at least six months out of date now...

Ive been getting similar problems. In addition the site's been slow to load on occasions even when there have been relatively few people viewing.
-
Me I get that one and at times slow in loading new pages.
-
The biggest problem I'm experiencing with the forum is that there is a bloody annoying Doncaster Rovers lottery pop-up keeps appearing every time I want to navigate from section to section of the forum. Stop the bloody thing from appearing please mods.

The link to the 'Rovers Lottery' page overlaps the Home, News and Forum links in the navigation menu. The layers need rearranging.

-

1. Slow load times

As you say, I've just checked cross browser compatability and it's ok in Firefox, Explorer and Safari. Google Chrome is where the navigation layer problem lies. I just happen to be using Google Chrome these days as it's much quicker. Fully understand if you think that the menu's not worth fixing for the odd browser that isn't quite in tune with the others. :)
I'm still having all the other problems like everyone else but I realise that's a provider/server glip.
Cheers :silly: Rover

Still slow for me on Firefox 3.6.13
Would it be possible to have a shortcut next to each thread that takes you to the first unread post? it's a useful feature on many forums I go on as it saves you trawling through posts you've already read.
