Title: Random facebook irritations...
Post by: jucyberry on April 15, 2011, 06:49:58 pm
Facebook is a wierd animal, it seems to bring out the truly odd in some people... Many things irritate me about some of the things that get posted, the top few being..

The wedding obsessive..... i have one girl on my list who got married in Florida in SEPTEMBER last year, god help us she is STILL posting previously unseen pictures of the event...Who needs Wills and Kate when I have Laura and whats his name.......

The pathetic, post this on your status if you have a mum/ dad/kid/ mole on the middle of your f**king snout... I am female and it even repulses me..it is the status update of the pubescent girl inside a middle aged woman.

Saddest of all, the couple who talk to each other on FB even tho they are in the same room...Its not cute it begs the question don't you ever talk?

Slightly topped by the bloke who has a wife who looks like peppa pig but insists on calling her his sexy little thing...(actually they are one and the same)

I love the rock and roll badass status updates, BLIR is always good for a snigger, he is so naughty.. ;)

Simple answer Jucy...like me, don't sign up

I haven't got time for the site, i'm afraid i'd spend all day telling people I don't like to fcuk off when they ask to be my friend.

Life is too short

What gets on my tits is the way commercial organisations have jumped on the facebook \"virus\" too.

Seems each product has to have a facebook page, you know what I mean...send us pics of you and your friends eating Walkers artery fillers.

:(

I'm just soooo glad I don't ever do trhat shite. It's bloody intrusive too. There's a huge amount of information gathered about you from there. It can easily wreck your job prospects too. Employers regularly trawl Facebook and similar muck for info about candidates for jobs...

I signed up a while back but it bores me senseless. I did a scientific experiment the other week, I usually put some weird funny shit on there and no one joins in the fun. So, I put on my status \"Chris Needham....is fed up\", and guess what? I was inundated with soppy women and faggot blokes who I thought were proper blokes saying stuff like \"are you ok hun\", \"what's up dude\", f**kin freaks.

My particular favourite though is the women who just love to tell people that their kids are ill......EVERY bas**rd WEEK. A couple of women have deleted me from their facebook because I asked if they had Munchausens.

It's like everything I guess, good for somethings, not others.. I very rarely post a status, but it's nice for seeing people you grew up with and family abroad .. Just so much chaff to wade through to get to the wheat so to speak....

Social networking is now a huge player in the business world. It has massive marketing potential, at a cost of pretty much nothing.

I try my best Deb x

FB is like anything else, it has good and bad points - and like several people on here have said, if you don't like it you don't have to go on it.

Personally, I think it's great but you do have to wade through a fair amount of shite at times

That sounds a right laugh, I'm gonna try it now! I'm gonna befriend you, I have an incurable ailment, the offie is shut and I'm outta all boozable material - can you help?

Please accept my invitation to Hell.

EDIT: It's only been half an hour but people are already sending wreaths and messages of condolence to the wife. Looks like holidays arrangements have already been triggered too.

Wow. where are all these grieving weirdos?

Wondered what the surreal rope posts were about Mark, had to ponder, knowing your fantastically quirky sense of humor what you were doing...lol

My favourite on there is when girls/women have just split with their partner/boyfriend/husband. They have to put the pics of themselves out with the girls 'having a great time'.

I think that if you have to go on a socialising web site to tell everyone that you are having a great time, then maybe you are not really.

Just to add, I am not on there. Most of my mates are though.

I'm not on Facebook either, which is a shame for the local media should I snuff it early in life as they'll have nowhere to trawl for banal, vapid comments about my passing from people who barely knew me.

Noone cares...

Best response I got was I should have gone to B&Q for the rope, as everyone knows the Range stuff is shit and doesn't work.

Worst was will I still be OK for Friday.

I'll have to stop smiling so much then maybe folk will take me seriously hehe.

Daft thing is most people I know refuse to go on facebook. They're too old, too paranoid, too antisocial. All my excuses, but I had to do it in the end to spy on my kids.

I go on Facebook about once every 2 months just to make sure that everyone I was at school with still have shitty lives.  Its quite reassuring.

I feel your pain Mark, especially as I see someone actually liked your comments...pmsl..

The latest bit of nonsense on my fb is this.....

Wish heaven had a phone so I could hear ur voice again .I thought of u today, but that is nothing new .I thought about u yesterday and the day before that too. I think of u in silence. I often speak ur name. All I have is memories and a picture in a frame .Ur memory is a keepsake, in which I'll never part. God has u in HIS arms ,I have u in my heart. Repost if u love someone in heaven ???

Now I'm sorry but I hardly think my dad is up there squatting on a cloud with a heavenly home hub accessing facebook....Do you.......?

Something that pisses me off is people who constantly update their relationship status. As if we give a toss.

I never had anyone copy my status update sadly...I thought it a totally valid social comment personally.........

Take a dollop of slush, and a sticky, smarmy, slurrrpy sentiment add it to a vomit making declaration and if you want to make all your friends barf at how wet you are post this on your status...........................

The people who keep reading them must be equally as bad
