Well done to all involved by the way

Here you go...
RTID
Rovers ‘till I Die
It’s a fever
I don’t want curing
A lifetime curse but I’m enduring
People tell me that its not normal
Sell my soul for one more goal
Same old ritual
Get the car parked
Bought the programme, shout it from the start
Pull the hoops on kiss the badge with pride
Roar the boys to victory – feel the ecstasy
RTID
Rovers till I die, Rovers till I die
It’s a matchday
Feel the ground sway
All the fans here, feel the history
Like a heartbeat running through me
Raise the pulse – let Rovers loose
RTID
Rovers till I die, Rovers till I die
We’re Ryans army
Marching proudly
Sir Francis Tierney remember clearly
Through the dark days hope stayed with me
The phoenix rise – the Viking pride

Beginning to feel it may well be the song we have been searching for........love it too.
-
All the people round me hate it :( and I always get shamed into stopping singing it..
-
I cringe at it. And no one sings along to it.
-
I hate it.
Cringeworthy
-
Can't fault the effort, but the problem is, we've already got a song for the words \"Rovers til I die.\" The words need to be original IMO.
-
I cringe at it. And no one sings along to it.
Its awful.
Fairplay for trying to do something about it but cringeworthy is the best description.
-
Glad it's not just me who cringes.
-
It reads like a winning poem from a Primary School competition.

There was an opportunity for input into the song at the start. Did all the guys above contribute anything towards it???
No, thought not. rovers til I moan more like.
Well done to those who had a go at writing a song
-
I contributed to it! I posted tonnes in the thread asking for ideas

And how much contribution did you make towards the song exactly?
It's awful, sounds like a cheesey kids TV tune. Agree with VJ, we already have a \"Rovers till I die\" song. and we're after an anthem which we can sing home and away, this is not the song that can do it.

As I said on a previous thread about the RTID song it is not an anthem. I was involved in the track and it was a project to do something for the Rovers and also to raise some money for the NSPCC and the Inca Trek. Yes, the lyrics might be 'cheesy' but belive it or not some people actually like it! I know David who wrote the music, put alot of time and effort let alone his own expense into the song and it's disappointing to hear comments like these. I agree it's definately not an anthem but if anyone of the posters above want to get involved in writing a traditional 'anthem' please get in touch so we can have something for the start of the next season.

Mate, I'm not moaning about it am I? It's typical of our fans attitudes when they moan about lack of music/atmosphere etc and then moan about someones hard worked solution. MOAN MOAN MOAN.
Plus, how often do we sing \"Rovers til I die\" nowadays? Not alot really. It used to be sang with gusto.

It's a shame that this is being virtually tossed out the window. Maybe we should look at an alternative through the summer. It's a shame the Final Battle isn't being played as they line up in front of the WS anymore.
-
I can appreciate the effort that went into the song but being brutally honest it is cringeworthy.
