Crikey charlie folks, morale must be low. 90 mins before KO and no match thread started.
......Sulli......
JOC...Shelts..George...Spurr
Bennett...Bax..Gilly...Barnes
....Hayts...Brown........
2-1 Donny
-
Cussy, they're probably all thinking how the forum will do the usual matchtime crash because there'll be more on here tonight than going the game.
-
I'll be there........as Jacko once said.
I think we can take these. 2 days rest for them. Wounded animal is us. Touching on the Woods thread, it's a shame he's not playing as I think tonights the night to show some real spunk from the lads......think i'll take mi golfing brolly
-
Hope you're right Cussy, it depends on who plays. Get the leaders back and we have a chance, save them for Saturday and we have sacrificed the game for the greater good. Either way we win.

I'm going for 1-0 Donny - Haytes in the 49th min bullet header ....... oh hang on think I'm dreaming again :)
-
Woods, Dumbuya, Friend, Naylor, Hird, Spurr, Gillett, Oster, Barnes, Bennett, Hayter,
5 man defence at home? Deary me.
-
According to Dee Dah, it's 3-4-3. Muzzy and Spurr playing in midfield. I guess we'll see.
It could get quite congested in there when Barnes, Bennett and Hayter drop in as well
-
Woods, Dumbuya, Friend, Naylor, Hird, Spurr, Gillett, Oster, Barnes, Bennett, Hayter,

can change easy wide men push on down wings or hird plays front of back four pushing oster forward
-
Dumbaya, Friend, Naylor, Spurr as a back 4. Hird just in front of the back 4 allowing the full backs to push forward and act as wingers. This allows Oster to operate further forward which makes the midfield more potent, and we have Hayter up front who can score. What is the problem?
-
Spurr and Dumbuya will probably be used more as wing backs. Hopefully pushing for a more attacking 3-5-2??? Maybe. Whatever they decide lets just have a goal at least!
-
No Brown involved. Although it's good to see Hayter back it's a tough ask form him to play 90 with no forward back up on the bench.
-
Who is on the bench?

Thanks DVR!
-
1-0 Barnes ???
-
1-0 Hayter :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
Credited to Hayter...great start!
-
At last a goal, they say winning is a habit, let's hope it's a habit we will over indulge if we win this.:scarf:
-
That aside, John Buckley commenting on the 'patchy' turnout from home fans.
It was better when it was a fixed price. That went and it get's up people's noses !
-
BBC had Nunez free kick on goal then Hayts scoring?! Not complaining mind, RTID!
-
Good to hear the O'Driscoll chant :)
Not heard anything from the white scum yet crowd wise, are there many there?
-
By the looks of things according too BBC we are dominating possesion by 81% to 19%.. lets hope we make full use of all this possesion :) R.T.I.D
-
I reckon about 2500 Leeds. Around 8500.
-
Not too bad for a league cup game... would probably have been a full house had tickets been cheaper though
-
given our recent performances and hard times etc, I think it's great
-
Bugger hit the post
-
First home game I've missed for 2 seasons including friendlies. Just one too many for me.
-
Tom being positive :woohoo:
-

How fickle we fans are!
-
8 shots to 1 with 5 on target, come on Lads let's get a better conversion rate.
-
if we get another games won for me
-
First home game I've missed for 3 years.
Part time fan me.
Can't even listen to radio as im at work and Radio Sheffield wont broadcast online while footys on!
-
if we get another games won for me
You mean like Bradford thought
-
1-1
-
balls 1-1:cry:
-
Gives us a chance to show spirit :) :woot:
-
Now to see how the players react
-
Come on you Rovers!!!!! lets get another one
-
We have to start being more clinical when we dominate games,
-
1-1
What a suprise!
Tbh I hardly care if we win or lose this one..its the Cup and it can serve as little more than a distraction from our main objective of getting points on the board.
-
Get the ball into the middle of the box with pace and low, then let Hayter do the poaching job, Rovers could get this finished off in the second half and look forward to playing a BIG club, bring on Liverpool or Man City!
-
Its all well saying it doesn't matter if we don't beat leeds.. not only could this game if we win it do wonders for the players belief, also a potentially money spinning tie at Old Trafford or one of the big premiership grounds too boost our coffers basically
-
CRY FROM GUERNSEY - Confidence spreads - put these to the sword
-
where's chris brown?
-
1-1
What a suprise!

Partly agree. Hopefully it's given us an opportunity to experiment a bit though.
-
Whatever happens in second half we've shown what a good team we have and should boost confidence. What I'm wanting to see now is that willingness to take it to them for a full 90.
Tough with the bench we have compared to theirs but it's the mental toughness that counts.
-
where's chris brown?
Rested
-
We need to win this, local rivalries aside. Winning breeds confidence, a confident team is invariably a winning one, imo.
-
Forgot to mention, but worth noting, a good tactical approach from SOD tonight. Whether forced or by choice he's given us an attacking chance with the wing backs being prominent.
-
Wing backs. Sounds like one of Snodins teams!
-
8505 official.
-
He had a strategy on Saturday, but I suspect two 18 year old players who had only been at the club for less than a week didn't manage to do what was expected, and the leadership was not there for them. Hence.....
-
i just heard - we all hate leeds - im happpy - bed time
-
We've gone to sleep again. Midfield missing in action.
-
we sound good - common roverssssssssssssssssssss:rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

nailed on peno:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
-
JOC coming on... excellent news
-
Gradel on.
I expect Naylor's pace will keep him in check.
-
good sub with JOC replacing Naylor after Gradel come on for them.
Like you say though, we're not getting up to support Hayter enough.
-
Rovers gone quiet after Wilson on for Barnes.
-
Wilson on for Barnes
-
Get Baxendale on, set up for him this is.
-
Naylor injured according to Sky.
-
Putting Wilson on to ensure we don't go to extra time?
-
Wilson Da Silva :coat:
-
Putting Wilson on to ensure we don't go to extra time?
They've had the same idea...Kisnorbo on.
-
Let's hope this gets decided before the end of 90 mins
-
Barnes injured too apparently.
-
whats number for player????
-
9 mins to go. Get Baxendale on to win it.
-
1-2
-
Balls
-
f**k sake.
-
FFS
-
Bugger but at least we haven't got to put up with extra time, just not clinical enough yet again and gone to sleep in midfield.
-
Oh well, some comfort from this performance overall... scraping the barrel though I am. LAST FECKIN 10 MINUTE SHITE - sort it Rovers
-
Stocky coming on
-
1-2
Suprise...suprise...a shit end to a shit day.
But atleast we dont have the hassle of extra time / potential extra injuries.
-
Naylor and Barnes already injured according to Sky.
-
Another chance gone begging. Stock on.
-
I think there's some big positives.......not least the return of 4 players to the squad. I think Sat will be a turning point
-
Bennett hit post.
-
Disagreeing massively with this- its the cup balls - this could be/ could have been massive - i so wanted a win tonight-
Extra on player still is useless - and Kamarra - dont get me started!!!
-
Bennett hit post again.
On balance 2 clean strikes from them find the net and we have 2 off the post. Small margins but the margins never seem to favour us !!
-
Naylor and Barnes already injured according to Sky.
Sounds like they'll be absolutely fine then.
-
Tom \"You reap what you sow...\" How negative is that?!
You're only positive when we're winning, positive when we're winning...
-
Naylor and Barnes already injured according to Sky.
Well thats just friggin great.
I jst knew this game was a waste of f**kin time and would provide more negatives than pluses.
-
We need to build on a single goal when we get one. Sounds like we were unlucky not to score more than one tonight.
-
Naylor and Barnes already injured according to Sky.

Talk about falling from grace - i remember i used to respect you!!!!!!!!!!!
-
All over.
-
If it ends like this I won't be dissapointed 4players coming back and gives to chance to move focus on the league sounds like we have been unlucky with some chances hitting post etc
-
I hope we can take the positives from that and give Bristol a good drubbing.
Just holding my breath on injury news again but with Hayter, JOC and Stocky back the future is bright.
-
The players leaving the pitch with their heads down and looking bewildered isn't going to help morale though is it?
-
Fine margins yet again. Nunez the difference. Let's hope Maynard isn't the difference Saturday. Good to see some of the injured players back.
