I would agree too but think Gillett adds a lot to our steel in the midfield, can we play 12 ?
Seems SO'D is soon to be in danger of having selection problems personally I can't wait.

I'd go with that but would have gilly in starting... I must say though it's nice to see options on the starting XI. Lets hope the injuries don't re-occur and here's to a long and successfull season

I can`t believe you all want Stock in after 5 minutes playing time and 1 weeks training coming from a 3 month injury lay off, recipe for a quick breakdown if you ask me!

Starting with the \"must play\" based on what we've seen so far this season.

Friend Spurr
Gillett
Bennett Copps Hayter

Add in the loan players who probably have some sort of must play clause

Friend Spurr
Gillett Brown
Copps Bennett
Lalkovic Hayter

Fill in the blanks and I think we'll see

Woods
Muzzy Naylor Friend Spurr
Gillett Brown
Copps Bennett
Lalkovic Hayter

Subs Sullivan, JOC, Oster, Stock, Brown.

Already having to leave players out, can't see Brown or Lalkovic's stay being extended past the month unless they do something in the next few games.

Can't see SOD risking him in the starting line-up. Last 15 mins appearance maybe unless we're struggling to get a grip in midfield. Stock seems vulnerable to injury at the best of times so I'd be surprised if SOD didn't build him up gradually.

Just thought it might be interesting to compare your choices for Saturday, with what would be your ideal first team (ie no injuries)
Very difficult, but based on who I think are the best players when on top form, I'd go:

Sullivan
OConnor
Martis
Friend
Chambers
Stock
M Woods
Oster
Coppinger
Hayter
Sharp

Subs:
C. Brown
Bennett
Barnes
Hird
Woods

I know its only my view, but that line up only includes 3 who played last night.  Just shows the potential depth we have when all fit.  Trouble is, Billy is key to it all... the one true goalscoring talent we have.

I can't believe you have Chambers at left back in front of Tommy Spurr?
Spurr not even one of the subs. Have you forgotten him?

I'd be tempted to go 3-4-3 with wingbacks like we did last night as it worked a treat and i also wouldn't be rushing players back in from injury to risk them breaking down:

Woods
R.Brown Naylor Friend
Muzzy Gillet Oster Spurr
Copps Benno
Hayter

Subs - Sulli, JoC, Stock, Barnes, C.Brown/Lalkovic

I would stick with the team that started last night - did alright against a fellow championship team - should do alright against another Championship team. Along as we start at the same pace as we did last night

Basically this but I'd throw in Lalkovic too.

That is basically the team that had us play off contenders till early December last year. This is what I keep telling people (particularly my leeds supporting mates) who seem to think our absentees are not key players. Our injury list comprises of near as damn it our best team.

Agree with the first reply though, Spurr should be in ahead of Chambers and i'd like to see a place for Bennett. I reckon we have another £3m+ player in him in a couple of years.
