Ditto matey.

My daughter (17) also went on Wednesday for the full camp-out (first time without the folks) with a huge gang. Hardly replied to any of my texts (not that I'm worried like or contemplating driving up there, or worried she's ok, dry, free from druggies, rapists, gimps, dweebs and knuckleheads). All she's said was Muse and Elbow were awesome.

I can see the daft chuff going all hippie with daisies in her hair, bare feet and covered in mud

Would really have liked to have gone last night, but sadly work interfered.

Daughter turned up home yesterday. No teeth clean for 5 days, no wash, little or no sleep, little or no food, lot's of alcohol and good music. Absolutely wiped out and in her words needs cleansing, plenty of food and lot's of sleep.

As an aside, she suggests Elbow stole the weekend

If MCR and Elbow are stealing all the plaudits, I guess they must have missed Frank Turner on Friday.

I think Elbow are pretty dire! Muse are the best live band around at the moment!

November is my own mini festival month.  Got tickets for CarterUSM and Frank Turner, both in Manchester.

She saw Frank Turner mate. I've never heard him/them to be honest but she said they were good.

Muse were obviously the best followed by Madness, no surprise there. I think Elbow surprised her as she went quite sceptical of them, but in her words blown away.

Strokes did the typical moody rock stars personna gig and spoilt it.

Beady Eye were good apart from the crowd winding Liam up re Wonderwall and Noel, and thus being subjected to his infamous F Key tirade.

I nice little festival that I've been too before and a lot less hyped is the Bingley festival this weekend. Been before and always a good line up.

I wish I could make it, but alas the Derwent Trail Run awaits me this weekend. Sunday looks the pick with Chase and Status closing and the mighty Coral on before, and Wretch 32 (see linky)

Never understood the hype around Muse. Seen them live and thought they were very ordinary, and their albums have been shit since there first IMO.
Thought the line up was pretty poor to be honest. Miles Kane is always good though.

I like Muse, but I can stand their pretentiousness where many cant.

I must admit to preferring their earlier music recorded when they still had a bit of a Radiohead/RATM vibe and hadn't metamorphosed into Queen. They are fantastic live though, definitely not ordinary, think the songs are big enough and seem to make more sense in those type of arenas.

Muse wont be as good as Stereo MCs tonight.
