There you go to get the ball rolling.
Enjoy as ever :rtid:

Rovers 5-0 City of Bristols
Barnes (1)
Bennett (3)
Hayter (1)
(Maynard pen. Saved G.Woods 2')
(Maynard pen. Saved G.Woods 76')
(Maynard pen. Saved G.Woods 90+2')
Sent off:
G. Woods (Doncaster) 90+3.
Att: 15,231
-
Since I'm always wrong, I'll go for reverse psychology and say Rovers 0 - 3 Bristol City! :silly:
-
1-0 to the Rovers and a much needed 3 points :rtid:
-
3-1 City are in trouble, and our lads are in the mood to give somebody a real stuffing. Barnes and Bennet to score
-
1-0
Hayter
Stretchered off: Stock
Att: 7,589
-
I think we'll batter them. I just hope the final result reflects this.
-
If Maynard isn't playing that will be a massive boost for us.
In the away game last year they looked 2nd best to us for long periods, however their main threat came from their right. I think it was a couple of black lads there, was it Rice and the bigger threat of that wing back laddo on loan from West Ham. I think they've secured him again, I'm sure I read somewhere.
That said, massive boost if we can get off the mark today and I think if we repeat what we have done in our first 5 games bar 1, then we will be too good for them.
2-0..........Hayts (now on his usual run of goals every game) and Kyle
-
EEEIIII EEEIIII EEEIIIIOOOO up the football league we go!
Rovers 2-0 Hayter and a Lalcovic stunner !
Att: 7847 (Will not be announced due to embarrassment)
Move above Ipswich and Jewell shown the door !!
-
This will be the first 3 points of our season
Rovers to win 2-0
Hayter and Bennett to score :scarf:
-
Wish I shared everyone's confidence on the prospects of a win. Our lack of cutting edge and propensity to concede at almost every opposition chance have not yet been overcome.
How happy I will be if we do manage to take the points today. Our lass will be in for the time of her life tonight if we do. :rtid:
-
No Tommy Spuur today.
Wonder why.
EDIT, sorry he is. Sky reckon hes playing centre midfield. Hmmm
Woods
Hird
Friend
Naylor
Dumbuya
Spurr
Gillett
Oster
Barnes
Bennett
Hayter
Bench:
Sullivan
Lalkovic
Reece Brown
O Connor
Wilson
No Stock or Martis
-
As he has just put a hopeful ball forward to Bennet I think he might be there.
-
No Stock though?? Expected to play but not even on bench.
-
Same as Tuesday, back 4 Sam covering and doing midfield, two wing backs and an attacking midfield. A close call already though.
-
No Stock though?? Expected to play but not even on bench.
Stock didn't think he was ready to play, I assume SOD agreed.
-
Enjoying the commentary on Rovers player - very professional and easy to listen to
-
Agreed!
-
Same here. Nice to say something good about it!
-
Who does the commentary these days?
-
Paul Goodwin and Tom somebody from the media team.
-
Wellens scores for Leicester, Dean Shiels scores for Kilmarnock. ......our turn!
-
Yes please! :scarf: Bit quiet just now, but like the commentators are saying, a win, however we get it.
-
1-0 down
-
Oh bugger!
-
f**king great isn't it.
Have we got the resolve and fight to come back from this in the second half?
-
A non-goal again, crept underneath Wood's hands.
Rovers have not got the \"cutting edge\" at the moment, we need a goal scorer. Maybe it is a bit early for Hayter, bring on Lalkovic after 60 minutes?

Why do we persist with this muppet? He is costing us goals on a weekly basis.
-
We dont make subs before the 75th minute. Are we doing the right things? thats all that matters.
-
Good football but no cutting edge is a familiar theme for us!
-
I dont trust BBC stats but they say 4 shots in 45 minutes
maybe 2 upfront for the 2nd half but that would leave the midfield one light and the tippy tappy controlled football would stop.
-
Not doing much wrong, but very, very lightweight up front again. Same old, same old. Hoping we can turn it around in second half.
-
Milan on for someone I hope if we're still not in front by 60 mins. Though guess at 85mins we'll get Wilson on for Gillet/Barnes/Oster, and JOC on for Naylor, and Milan for Hayter.
Jeez, something has got to go for us.
Half time talk:
\"You know everythings all right with a nice cup of tea, eh lads :) Don't spill it Gary! No \"slurrping\" Tommy, watch Muzzy - he learnt from last week. Kyle - come on, don't pour it on your lips, in the mouth, thats it my son.\"
Anyone any other ideas about what SOD will be drilling into them?
-

JOC on for naylor:lol:
-
Must be an injury. Can't see it being tactical, surely!
-
Naylor can only do 45 minutes every 3 weeks lol
-
\"Unofficial but I think Billy will be back for the Friday night game against Leeds in about 6 weeks\" I hope so!
-
He seems to be the only \"cutting edge\" we've got! Not sounding hopeful at the moment!
-
peno
-
Missed penalty - just no luck!
-
i wish people would stop blaming luck
-
FFS.
f**k OFF
-
Get on with it Rovers! Start running at them again.
-
Pens down the middle are not the best. At least its a new one, missed pen, not had that this season, keeps the interest up :)
-
Positive change :)
-
Lose today and it is a complete disaster.
2 very difficult away games coming up which we have a slim chance of getting anything from.
7 games without defeat would be our worst ever start to a season, and in my opinion impossible to come back from.
-
time to stop feeling sorry for themselves, stop blaming injuries, stop blaming luck cos you make your own, stop blaming the ref and start kicking the southern pufters up in the air and get stuck in

Most would settle for that mate
Slightly off topic...any Refs on here ? Jonathan Smart of Montrose has got his 3rd red card in successive games today...how is he not on a ban yet ??

I take it 1997-98 doesn't count then?
A record 20 matches without a win to start the season
Mind you it did take us 5 years to come back

As far as Brizzle is concerned, they are the southern pufters. Though Bristol Red Rover Junior born near there...
Yes!

Sorry, I meant without a point.
-
At last! :scarf: much relief!
-
HAYTERRRRRRRRRRRRRR
-
Crack on now Rovers!
-
Le Fondre to Reading for 350k ?
Bargain
They can sell him for that if it doesnt work out
-
2 upfront working ?
-
Could we be playing 442?!
-
Could we be playing 442?!
Thats a bit unfair isn't it ? Having 431 more players on the pitch :coat:
;)
-
4-3-2-1 Lalkovic first, Hayter and Bennet the 2
-
331???????????????? :saywhat: :coat: 431 i think you meant COME ON ROVERS
-
331???????????????? :saywhat: :coat: 431 i think you meant COME ON ROVERS
Oh yeah D'OH !!
-
Sounds like we have unleashed our attacking ability.
-
10 mins with extra time, make it count, no panic stuff but constant pressure.
-
time for a Robert Jackson tune on rad Sheff
it always brought the goals
-
No Wilson sub... SOD being adventurous. I like it.
-
Reece Brown joins the action as a substitute, replacing Giles Barnes.
-
Bennett really showing class, due a goal soon. Good to hear us putting such pressure on at the end
-
We needed a win, but in the end I'm grateful for the point!
-
Well were off the mark, onward and upward!!
-
Me, I think Tommy Spurr is up there with the gods. Anybody on here know what banter he was having with the fans in the stoppage for Barnes? He really seems to be enjoying it here and a quality player for us.
