Now I know this is way early, but I'm travelling back to UK tomorrow and have lots to do.

I'll be at the match on Saturday so say hello if you see me!

0-3 Rovers.

Lalkovic hattrick.

Faith restored. Slashers silenced. O'Driscoll restored to being a togger deity.

Stretchered off: Martis 3'

Lose today and heads must roll!

For me though this has a scoreless draw written all over it  (in saying that we have Woodsy in goal, however many shots Reading have on target is how many goals they'll win by)  :chair:

Just looking at the league table. We could be 7 points adrift of safety after today. Unthinkable!

Or conversely a possible 7 points off a play-off spot if we win !

1-1 prediction from me however ;)

Wellred, Mr. Frost and benaldo will hate this because they will have to start their little campaigns off against the rest of us again, but I could see a win here. I wasn't that confident last week, remember that 4 out of our five losses have been against clubs in the top 6. We have not been playing that badly. If we can get out there, believe and get the tactics Rovers could well win. 1 - 2 today.

Like Mr Frost and Benaldo no doubt we all want rovers to win.
We are Rovers supporters who can see both the good and bad side of Doncaster Rovers and all it encompasses..........unlike some.

Hayter Bennet Copps. Small but quite fast, can we give centre halves a worry by turning quickly and running at them? Let's hope so! :rtid:

A more certain pair of hands in goal, more height at the back post. We may have a good chance of conceding fewer set piece goals. That gives us a better chance.

I wasn't suggesting that Sulli is the answer, however, if he comes in, and we still concede left right and centre, our problems may well be worse than a lot of people think.

Apparently naylor and muzzy have knocks, commentary team aren't convinced.

SOD is trying the away game in Europe ploy. Bore the home fans into submission, frustrate the opposition and then stick a lively forward on for last 15 mins to nick a 1-0.
Or maybe we're just clinging on for a point. :-)

Neither of them are good enough. Sullivan is the best of 2 evils though.

are you watching Benaldo?

Woods out?

I think this proves more than anything that we need a goalkeeper who is up to playing at this level. Neither Woods or Sullivan are up to it, and without one we WILL go down.

It's hard to disagree with that, but I would think SOD is aware of the situation and either is pursuing players or hasn't been given the funds? In the meantime, I think your preaching to the converted on here Frosty.

WHY THE f**k are we still discussing the need for a new goalkeeper.

It was f**king obvious the end of last year/the summer.

That does seem to be the main problem today. We are creating nothing.

The thing is, looking at the starting line up the team looked competative, we can`t keep blaming the injuries all the time, fact is we are not good enough, relegation is a certainty! we have n`t had 1 attempt on goal this game so far!

Not a Shot on Goal
No Football
Loads of Individual Mistakes
Poor Defensive Organisation
No Passion:sick:

There is only one outcome I am afraid RELEGATION

Joe Hart wouldn't make much of a difference to the team as it stands

MIDFIELD is the issue - which ismental as we've got the players, they're just not gelling

Its not the goalkeeper, its not the defenders, its not the midfielders, its not the strikers,

ITS THE WHOLE LOT OF THEM!

They are not playing as at team!

We are hopeless. At this rate we will be down by Christmas. There can be no more excuses about injuries, the only player who could come close to helping us is Sharp and he will struggle to score goals for us if we are not even creating chances.

Enough is enough know, time for a change. SOD is on very very thin ice. Any other manager in the football league with Rovers results record over the past year or so would have walked.

We need new ideas because we are pathetic at the minute. Relegation is a certainty in my opinion. The rot has to stop or it could be .

As can be imagined the confidence is shot. So many games without a win and as soon as the first goal goes in we fold.

Prepare for League 1! Billy is not the savior we all think, the midfield is the problem!
Title: Re: Reading v Doncaster Rovers

Midfielders names are mentioned and we have an attack on the go. Not successful but there it was. The lack of effort from Gillet, barnes and Oster has let us down today, I don't include Copps and Hayter in that as they are supposed to be operating further up the field. That midfield three have not won the ball, and not kept it when we needed to. That takes pressure off the back four, and gives us a chance of launching attacks. Oster is doing the same as the end of last season, sulking. Gillet is not performing well enough to play here, Barnes could do better, but is he capable of doing so now? We really needed a Woods or a Stock back as well as billy to give us an edge. It is a ticking bomb and we are losing out on time.

I'm not going to jump on anyone 'out' bandwagon, but this is painful now - we're not even drawing. Things have to change and we're in big, big trouble if they don't. :(

Fully agree. If we don't create Billy won't score. Add that to the fact we can't defend neither and we have no chance.
