Well so much has happened today, tomorrow's squad and score is anyone's guess. So I'll just say fingers crossed for a win! :scarf: :scarf:

Billys 250th appearence for Rovers - Celebrated with a goal? 1-3 Rovers:scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

250th Appearance? Think you need to do your sums again!

250th appearance?
In his lifetime for all his clubs maybe but hes played no more than 110 games for us.
-
It's his 250th career appearances, he just misread the BBC preview.
-
3-1 rovers as always. 40/1 this week, worth a punt if they perform similar to Tuesday.
-

80-1 rovers 3-1. Think you got poor odds!
-
b*llocks!
-
1 down already
-
Old problems resurfacing. Hesitation between centre half and keeper.
-
Nearly 2 not looking good so far!
-
great start :(
-
What happened for their goal? BBC Sport being crap and cant get on player, thanks
-
Sounds like the defence is having a shocker so far, and the midfield has hardly had a touch!
-
And is it me or do Pompey have 4 strikers in their side? Uh oh...
-
Those were crazy odds. Who's your bookie?
-

The usual first half under Saunders then
-
1 down 3 mins
-
This is what can happen when you bring journeymen in who have no interest in the Club whatsoever....ah well....lets hope McKays Mercenaries pick it up a bit as the game goes on.
-
Sounds like no one is prepared to deal with Kitson. I would not be surprised if he nobbles one of our players before the end of the game. He normally does.
-

Just which journeymen are you talking about that are playing shit? Friend, Oster, Sullivan, Gillett???
Oh dear. I see the irony !!
-
Anyone know which centre half was at fault for the goal? Have a bet on with a mate!

This sounds Shit!

Player much better these days, but who is the twonk of a summariser who keeps referring to us as Doncaster all the time. What's the matter with an occasional Rovers or Donny?
-
redeem ursen stock ffs

It's Peter Catt, new media bloke who is a huge Rovers fan... but I agree if he is so, why does he not refer to us in a more 'supporter' like manner
-

that is peter catt
-
need 3 points - results not going our way (plus can steal some pts on the dingles)

bit sarcastic on the last question
-
Now we're in the twilight zone when anything can happen. Of course it won't, let's score !!
-
Phew. Let's take this game now. Natives are restless.
-

Millwall 2 up, Florets 1-1 and Watford winning.
Could do with 3pnts today and certainly not a loss.
-

Peter Catt, just answer myself! Actually, he's Ok, but I'd like a little more bias!
Just read the posts above - really should do that first before posting again!

Yeah... pay attention Cotty ;) :)
-
Whats the text number for player?
-
Coventry now winning.
Absolutely essential we take something from this game.
-
 2-1
and Millwall 3 up at Leicester
-
We sound shocking at the back.
-
 2-1
Maybe I'm not the only one who needs to pay attention!
-
 2-1
Bring on the new regime.........same as the old regime :headbang:
-
2-1 down
-
 2-1
Bring on the new regime.........same as the old regime :headbang:
Apart from the fact we've actually scored in most of our games under the new regime.
-
We sound shocking at the back.
We could do with some top class defenders who want to put themselves in the shop window.;)
-
 2-1

To quote the SOD haters \" Its all about points on the board\" - today, again, that is a big fat zero, in fact zero from three from the McKay / Saunders management team.
-
3-1 :( :(
-
What happened to the positive substitutions? we've been on the back foot for the whole of this half.
Chuff me! 3-1 now
-
Sounds like we've been rubbish today!

I'm not a SOD hater, I'm just not getting on the back of the new manager after a month in the job.
Anyway, I seem to remember you wanting a change of manager before SOD left. Could be wrong though.
-
we had our traditional \"good period\" of 25-30 minutes but we take too long to get to that
1st half started badly lost early goal came back
2nd half started badly lost 2 early goals
for f**ks sake get it right from the bloody start!
-
So, apart from against Blackpool we'v played fairly poorly in all of Saunders games? And we didn't get anything from the Blackpool game anyway!
Whether that even has anything to do with Saunders or not, I don't know.
I just hope if we are to be relegated without any dignity then I hope we at least go down with a secure financial future. Thinking about it, Sharp's transfer fee should cover that either way.
-

Are you surprised we are inept defensively?
The clue is the man we refer to as manager sat in the dug out.
We have been outclassed by a team who will likely be battling it out with us for a relegation place all season.
-
Midfield has to be beefed up
-

I guess SOD will role out the old 'Its all about the performance not the result' b*llocks again....and the blind SOD devotees will still insist there are 3 teams worse than us in this division.
Pretty much outclassed by the team second bottom today...tells its own story...rudderless, no leadership, no direction.
Thanks for the memories SOD....but we cant live on past achievements forever.
:chair:

I had no problem with us relieving SOD of his duties as long as we replaced him with someone equally if not more competent.
Instead we have ended up with a smiling agents puppet who can't believe his luck.

Yeah, because we were awesome at defending before he came were'nt we?
-
mmmmm what a great 'shop window' for these top flight stars.
-
Could have been 5 or 6 for Pompey. We really need to go back to the drawing board defensively.

Yeah, because we were awesome at defending before he came were'nt we?
12 from 7 conceded with SOD
11 from 6 conceded with smiling gimp. (as long as Portsmouth dont score again)
Pretty similar and not accounting for the extra players that have returned from injury since Saunders' tenure.

And 50% of the back four today Saunders signings... which in itself is worrying.

:woot:  :woot:  :woot:
Cheers thats given me a good laugh.
-
We haven't had a good defence for two years under any manager, because we haven't really addressed the fact that we don't have a top drawer centre half. I fail to see how this is the fault of the new manager, who has been here for a month.
-

Ive corrected it for you ;)
-
pathetic:cry:
-
A poor performance by the sound of it. Some huge games coming up that we must get some points from or it'll be curtains by Xmas.

I thought today's game was a realistic chance of us getting something. Coventry next week is going to be interesting and if we can't beat that rubbish..........
Come on Deano, sort the defence out!
-
there are several obvious problems
1 we cant defend
2 we cant score goals
3 we cant control the ball
4 we have no belief
we need urgently to defend as a team
we need to be more dynamic (fitter and faster)
if mckay can deliver that bring it on
i am fed up with listening/watching the same old problems/performances
-
How is McKay going to sort ANY of that out? It is the job of the manager and his coaching staff ffs!
And I feel that none of them will be able to get us out of the bottom three, I've seen very little from what happens on the pitch to suggest we have a prayer this season.

So it IS true then, he's got the Managers job now ... don't tell ThinWD

Might as well have fella. After all Saunders' is merely his pawn and McKay could hardly be anymore tactically inept.
Lets see is Saunders follows through his promise to drop players and bomb those out the Club who are not pulling their weight - maybe he could start with Ilunga and Chimbonda eh? ;)
At £100 a week McKay could be a cheap managerial option
-
Sharp can score us the goals we need only if we give him service.
We lack quality in midfield to create and cross. We must have the worst corners, crosses and free kicks in the league.
