Title: Vince Brockie
Post by: YEP Digital on October 25, 2011, 12:19:22 pm
\"We had a good side at Donny and Billy brought a lot of players from Leeds who wouldn’t have got a game under Howard with John Stiles, Jack Ashurst, Brendan Ormsby and Kevin Noteman coming over,\" says Vince. “We were always pushing at the top of league the following season. But the longer I stayed things just seemed to fall apart and there were spells where we didn’t get paid.\"

Ancient history, just like the days when Leeds were a major force in English football. There seems to be an increasing number of these articles in the Leeds Evening Post nowadays having a side-swipe at DRFC. Have they got a complex about us or something?

Loved Vince when he played for us. I seem to remember he took a few penalties as well.

He was the penalty king (and Les Robinson)

Never forget that Tuesday night when we beat Halifax in the Leyland DAF trophy northern semi. Vince scored that night too, happy days.
