Title: North bridge
Post by: mushRTID on January 18, 2012, 01:07:21 pm
What's gone on? Taken an hour and half to get from A1 at woodlands to the new college by diversion over old bridge.

Police everywhere. Chaos!

If you`re going back that way, go through Barnby Dunn and Arksey, 20 minutes tops!

Although that was was backed up this morning due to this incident. Stainy to Kirky usually takes me less than 10 minutes but took 25 this morning. Crawling from the first bus stop in Barnby Dun right up to the Glasshouse due to volume of traffic joining the road at the White Hart.

Those traffic lights at the end of Brecks loan don`t help either!

Someone got pushed out of taxi while moving, banged his head which killed him. 5 people arrested. He must of known them if he was sharing a taxi with them.

If it was a black cab, I thought the doors automatically locked while the vehicle is in motion?
I'm guessing some people were witness to it happening given they seem to know more detail than the Police at this stage.

Has it re-opened yet? Any news on what traffic is like going down York Road or down the A1 to the Barnsley junction?

If this \"\"tin tin\" has blonde hair and is about 24, I think I know him....which isn't always a seal of approval. I hope he's ok though, he's a good kid.

One thing I noticed, with all the traffic chaos, those electronic signs the council spent nearly £1 million on were not used to inform drivers of the incident. Isn't that what they are there for? I don't think I have seen them used once. Another great waste of council money!
