Wonder how many pages this thread gets :rtid:

Why you bothering with this very few can/want to afford to go to Bellend, what are you trying to achieve an 'about turn' ?
That will never happen at Leeds.
-
At Barnsley we have reasonable people to deal with who have some sympathy with fans.
At Leeds.....

Not giving them £36 *
Going to Donny Knights egg chasers @ £10. Its v Rovram Titans and the game is on Telly as well Sky Sports
Cut price admission as well just £10 to sit in best Stand. Will take my DAB Radio to listen to Rovers WINNING I hope

Hmmm that sounds like a decent idea Wolfie. B)

Not going, but I wasn't planning to go anyway, whatever the price.
-
Not going. Was going to if the price was right. Going Palace instead now...
-
Not going, but I wasn't planning to go anyway, whatever the price.
Exactly the same as me. Never had any intention of going to the game no matter what the price!
-
As much as i love supporting donny and going to watch them, i will not pay 36 pound for it to go straight to bates pocket, i wish a could swear but wouldnt want to get in to trouble. I bloody hate leeds and everything about them, clearly bates is drugged up and forgot there not in the premiership anymore. Robbing buggers.
RTID
-
Would love to go but not at that price ! Shit corner of ground at that . We all hate leeds scum!
-
Wasn't going in the first place, bellend Rd is a shit hole,£36 Bates your having a giraffe
-
£36 is disgusting.
-
All of the people in my road where I live will not be going to Leeds but I'am going so does that count.
-
Wouldnt go if it was £3.60 a ticket. Not lining that scummy Clubs pockets with a single penny.
-
Wont be going at that price.
-
Fans are Kitsons, wouldn't be seen within 10 miles of Elland Road.
-

-
Ill be going but 36 pound is disgusting and so is 25 pound for under 15's
-
Not for me, I've never been to Elland Road either, always been at work when we've played there in the past. I am trying to 'tick the grounds off' but at this moment in time I can't justify £36 for a game of football. More important things to spend my money on! Looking increasingly likely that Brighton will end up being my only away game this season.
-

I wont be going (see above) but all the people in my street are - cos they support Leeds
-
I will not be going - hence not running a bus for this game
£36 for me is robbery but £29 for a pensioner and £25 for under 15 ? is criminal
He really is an obnoxious robbing tw@t - however can't really type my true thoughts on that excuse for a man - I actually feel a tad sorry for the \"decent\" Leeds fans
-
Uncle Ken treats his own fans with contempt. It's a miracle away fans aren't just shot on sight as soon as they've got through the turnstiles.
-
No, normally it would be a no brainer going to a local game, but as far as Leeds are concerned they can feck right off. Thank you.
-
how many people wouldnt be going if we were 4 points clear at the top of the league.....be interesting that wouldnt it
-
I wouldn't be going regardless of our position. Never went last season either.
-
I would imagine it is nothing to do with where we are in the league, certainly not for me. Anybody who pays £36 to go to a level 2 league game either has money to burn or needs their heads looking at. I think the club should have returned the tickets to Leeds and refused to sell them at that price. I recall Derby doing something similar with QPR the other year. Time to unite and make a stance rather than questioning those who choose not to be ripped off!!
-
I won't be going thankyou very much, wouldn't in any situation!
I share the same sentiments as Tommy Toes
-
Why is it that so many people are saying they wouldn't go even if they could afford to?
That is so stupid. Just because you despise Leeds. I can't believe you wouldn't want to support rovers at a game. I'll remind anyone that said they won't go despite the price in the future when they moan about fans not going to games...

And I'll remind you of the stance that these people took when everyone is moaning about how it now costs an average of £50 to attend a Championship game, because that's were we are headed. All of these increases and extra revenue for clubs goes in one direction, players wages. You don't see clubs making more profit (apart from Leeds!) or facilities for fans getting better, or the fan experience getting more exciting.
You have to make a stand somewhere.
-
Leeds are charging almost top seat prices for crap view, cattle class seats. They can ram it this time. As much as I support Rovers and enjoy going to most away games at some point the line needs to be drawn.

I go to every home game and as many away games as I can, I certainly don't moan about attendance. But cost is an issue having already spent £460 on my ST, then whatever I've spent on other games and extras. Therefore I am selective in my away attendance. The price is obviously an issue to many, and to be honest it is a rip-off. The main reason I am not going however is purely thus; I have never enjoyed it when I go to Bell-end road (even when we've won!), I don't like the match-day experience there, I don't like the majority of fans and there attitude, I don't like the treatment of away supporters (due to past experiences), I don't like the walk back to the car/station, I just don't like/enjoy it on a whole...

Fair enough mate if you don't enjoy the general experience. I wouldn't want anyone to go to a game they weren't going to actually enjoy, and fair enough, you have a season ticket. Your money is already spent up...
The thing i don't understand is that people are saying that even if the price was cheaper, they still wouldn't go. I'm not going because of the price. I want to go, like i said before, i've moved to Leeds, so there's really no excuse for me not going apart from price. If it were lower i would go. Some of the people saying they wouldn't go if the price was cheaper, are some of the same people that come out and rant at people for not turning up to games, or moan about away support...
And silent majority it's not a stance that people are taking to lower prices when they have said they wouldn't go if it was cheaper... What happened to the stance we took against barnsley? Why can't we do that again?
-
The extortionate ticket price is only to be expected....It's L**ds.
The horrible atmosphere is only to be expected......It's L**ds.
The high percentage of knuckle scrapers in the home end is only to be expected.....It's L**ds.
I don't think it's worth paying money out just to cheer my team on, if it means financially supporting L**ds.
The more money we pump into L**ds, the more chance they have of becoming successful, therefore the more likely they will continue to attract mercenary supporters from Doncaster.
I consider it my duty to stay away.
I'm not going!

If people are not going because they don't enjoy the match day experience then that's a pity. It is something we have been paying attention to for quite some time and believe me we have put a lot of effort into this, and we are seeing some results. But all that is a complex argument made up of many variables, including, prices, police, facilities, control and in many ways symptomatic of the 'sit down and shut up' attitude that prevails in a lot of football grounds these days.
But Leeds and Elland Road is different because of who owns the club (well now he's admitted that he owns it!) and their attitude to the normal match going spectator. If any club knows how to treat its fans badly its that one. And then to compound the issue by moving the away fans into the dearest, and oldest, part of the stadium is one sure sign they are disconnected with their customers.
The Barnsley scenario was different. The FSF and (parts of) the Trust at Barnsley had been telling the club for long enough that its pricing structure was wrong. Certain individuals at Barnsley had the ear of Patrick Cryne and so we felt that if we could demonstrate the level of discontent for those prices, especially the prices loaded against the away fans, then we would get a fair hearing, and it worked.
We have absolutely no chance of doing the same at Leeds, Shaun Harvey and ultimately Ken Bates, don't listen to anybody.
-
Im not going, £36 is pathetic, i think they price it up on purpose so that we dont turn up and support the rovers. they would sooner pack the ground full of white shirts and intimidate the opposition players.
plus im not too keen on giving captain birdseye my hard earnt wages.
:scarf:

£36 is a disgrace to go to that s**thole!
theres 6 of us that aren't going as a result!

Fair enough. But is there no way, as a forum, a collective of fans can do something to lower the price? Surely if we all try and do what we did at Barnsley then it might work?
I understand Bates won't listen though. I don't know what we can do, as i know nothing on the subject.
So how many Fans will be going? Maybe that will be a big enough sign to them

sadly not 36 pounds no way!
-
I haven't missed many away games but won't be going on principle. Robbing bas**rds!!!

I was at a meeting last Sunday and the board members of LUST (Leeds Utd Supporters Trust) and the Supporters club were all present. They said that travelling fans to Elland Road this season had fallen dramatically and that the club wasn't listening to them or anyone else. They are concerned because the away fans add to the atmosphere, so that less fans makes for a poorer match day experience which in turn means less home fans attend. Its a vicious circle. But KB doesn't care, he famously proposed that all fans should sit behind electrified fences, such is his view and opinion of the common supporter!
And this is what the Cardiff fans thought of their trip to Elland Road earlier this season;

was going to go to leeds with a mate... but at that price they can b*llocks
-
its not the price that puts me off but the price hike. only a few seasons ago it was £20 for me and £5 for my lad - and we sat/stood in the ss.
so - because of the price hike two st holders from lincs will not be attending.
conversely we shall both be at hull next week and its £34 for both of us!

Not Going They are not having my hard earned cash I would rather donate the money to the Rovers they are going to need it now
