In town last night around 8pm a full blown riot kicked off in \"jaques\" across from manyana manyana, never seen owt like it, looked like footie fans to be honest about 30 of them went beserk blood everywhere throwing tables n chairs dunno if they were brighton fans no colours in sight, could easily have been leeds fans as i watched that game in town and the place was crawling with em!
-
The\" Social\" bar at the end of the precinct is run by a Leeds fan and a lot of Leeds fans go in there for the televised games , so i wouldn't be surprised if they were behind it.

Absolutly not. I was in social watching the Jamie McDonnell fight when it all kicked off outside. Police, bouncers, angry looking men and plenty of blood outside. Looked like a right mess, glad I wasn't in jaques.

Race day in Doncaster ??? Only an idea

Loads of scummy Leeds fans in Yorkshire Grey watching game, pissed myself when Lambert scored.
No doubt they kicked off after they lost

So looked like footie fans, but no colours in sight. Tarred with the brush

Easy to identify if Leeds fans were involved - did it look like any bins were damaged in the riot?
If not, those guys are in the clear.
Which channel was screening the McDonnell fight?
-
Sky sports. Not much of a fight in all honesty. Complete mis match Jamie was too big strong and quick.
-
Yep, saw he took him apart by second round but surprised Sky were showing it as presumably he was top of bill for what was only a European title defence.
-
Weren't Derek Chishora wo it?

Judging by the number of idiots coming out of the racecourse post match yesterday it's not surprising. I tend to avoid town on raceday, just full of t**ts.

The OP said the trouble kicked off at 8pm , the Leeds game finished at 7.15pm .
Plenty of time of time for the Leeds (bad losers) Fans to sup up and make there way to the next pub which happens to be jacques or Manana's and have a pint to drown their sorrows.
In fact the timing seems just about right.

I watched the end of the Leeds game in Social and, apart from a couple of gobby kids, there were no Leeds fans in there, certainly not enough for a \"riot\".

Wise move
It seems to have got more fashionable to go to Races (any Course) and pay a mint to get in - not know anything about Horses - Form - whats going off etc and just get hammered. Thats on top of the Train fare from some far flung Town
I know lots of people who now avoid Donny on big race days because of the problems it has. Crowded / Noisy / full of falling down and vomiting people - and worst of all even if my friends wanted to get a drink they cant because its 10 deep at the bar !
So can anybody tell me why someone would want to pay the (in some cases) Train fare Entry to Course and buy overpriced Beer / Wine whilst not (in most cases) pay a jot of attention to whats going on outside.
Personally I am not a Race fan but if I was, surely I could watch on the Telly and get hammered for a whole week for the same price or less on Beer bought from Tesco (though there are other suppliers of Leffe of course)

I'm not condoning idiots who go to the races, get hammered and cause trouble in town afterwards, but as a regular race-goer I can tell you that going for a day at the races combines a number of things: the sport itself, betting, a pub/bar setting, socialising with your mates and of course a bit of eye candy too. Worth paying a bit more to have that combo - a bit like a day at a test match. But of course, with that comes people drinking all day which out of a big crowd will always lead to people carrying on afterwards onto a night out and amongst that a minority of idiots who can't handle their drink.
