Any update on any possible move for him ??
really think we need a striker. we seem solid enough at the back so thats not a problem. And we could do with Plessis in especially for West Ham game
we must win at Forest on tuesday if we are to have a chance of staying up
and also reckon rovers should do all they can to get a good turn out for reading
and also make derby game cat 2 to get a good crowd cos with top prices we wont get more than 10,000
-
How can you say Plessis should play? Been monitoring him in training?
-
Didn't think he had the bottle for the fight!
:scarf:
-
on sky news
-
Again?
We need a goalscorer McKay ffs, Piqiounne isn't one of those!
-
He's scored goals at a higher level than what were at now. And is better than what we've got. Who do you suggest?
-
Someone who has a better goals to game ratio than 1 in 4 which (i think) is what Piquionne averages.
-
So who? Outside the window, who could we get with a better ratio than that in europes top divisions,,

Alright then mate why don't you give Lionel Messi a call for us?
We cannot afford to sign players who score goals every two games, not that any are available anyway at the moment.
If we sign him and he puts the effort in then I'm all for it. Give him a bloody chance or shut the hell up.
-
Ah yes, but put him in the team with Bagayoko, diouf and they may all comppliment each other and create a lethal goal machine....
... Like The Heffernaytor, only useful!!!! :scarf:
-
It's McKays job to find one, not mine.
Get me Messi's number and i'll happily tell him what a great career move a transfer to Doncaster will be.
-
I think he could keep us up personally
-
I think he could keep us up personally
Yep, him and the world class Diouf would keep us up on their own.
-
Not a Diouf fan actually, nor am I a big fan of any of the loan players or the McKay experiment
However, I do think Piquionne could do very well. Would be the first of the loan signings (other than Fortune) that excite me

I remember us signing a player on loan a few years ago with a piss poor scoring record in this league. His name... Billy Sharp.
FFS, give the man a bloody chance before you label him useless.

Signed till end of the season
-
Shame Healy's busy..
-
Scores at a ratio of 1 in 4 roughly over his career. Hmmm not the best of striking records is it, still beggars can't be choosers I suppose.
-
Sky sports reckon he's signing for us on loan
-
Nice one !
I hope its true
we been clearly lacking a goalscorer since billy went
was watching premierships greatest goals a few seasons ago and was against liverpool for pompey. Was a sublime finish.
-
on skysports website now \"quoting\" Dean Saunders too.

some people on here really need to get a grip and stop posting shite, ok we know you dnt like mckay, we know you think diouf is crap (if rest of team had the fight and passion like him we wouldn't be where we are), we know you think odismal is responsible for the upturn of forests results even though he's only a first team coach, we know you wish sharp had stayed i do too but he decided to go sit on a bench rather than fight for rovers.
end of day we left the losing run too long sod should have gone in the summer and we should have gone through the interviews properly. but piquionne is a scorer in the prem he could be the difference. we make loads of chances that hayter is missing maybe sumone with prem league experience will finish some of those.
i know you will get arse on with these comments but at the end of the day i speak my mind and that's how i see it
-
Its better than nothing isnt it
He did well at Portsmouth if memory serves me right
got to be an improvement on what we've already got and it adds to our strength in depth
-
If he gets a few goals and keeps us up we might even be possible to get on a permanent
This move after the last 2 games has made me feel positive now
and lets get behind Saunders and the players. :rtid:
-
Worth a punt! ;)
-
Would think he cannot play on Sat though against his own club.
-

Bits in bold are completely wrong.

Correct, so he can rest after tomorrow night and be ready for next Tuesday!

\"I would like to thank Sam Allardyce and David Sullivan for allowing Frederic to come on loan to Doncaster,\" Saunders told skysports.com.
-

If he scores 4 goals in what remains of the season and each gains 3 points, he will do fine for me.
-
Yes indeed. Great signing. Experience and nouse. Just what we need.
Bit worried though about the Daily Mail article today which said he had only come here to play with \"his friend Lamine Diatta\".
He is going to get a mighty big shock when he rolls up at the Keempmoat then.

Maybe he wants some tickets for the next Real Madrid game!!

No where in the very brief DM article does it say that!
Doncaster Rovers have persuaded striker Frederic Piquionne to join on loan from West Ham.
The 33-year-old turned down a move to China in favour of linking up with former St Etienne team-mate Lamine Diatta
-
reading between the lines it seems diatta talked him into coming

Dunno about that but he's here as I've just been talking to DS and WM at the KMS
-
I was just coming on here to post that this signing explains Diatta's place in the squad. He's here for networking opportunities
If Piquionne brings the goods, then we will all be thankful that we signed Mr. Diatta for him to play zero matches!
Pee - kee - oh - nee, Pee - kee - oh - nee, ole, ole ole! :scarf:
;)
-
I've got a good feeling about this signing.
Could be just what we need at this crucial time.
-
Man City have the posnan
We can Do The Freddie

his pound is as good as any

Thought i saw this guy yesterday down at the Keepmoat as i was buying tickets.
A tall slim bloke pulled up in a white porsche with a french number plate, im now certain it was freddie after seeing his photo.
-
Just out of interest, what is McKays apparent worth?
Not that it matters, he could be a multi-billionaire and i'd still not want him investing in Doncaster Rovers FC.
-
He said \"in my head I am a warrior\" That'll do us fine up here .!
-
he's shit but not as shit as hayter so  :scarf:
Aye...he's bobbins
